We had just the one also here in Chelmsford about 40 or so minutes ago during a heavy but fairly short lived shower.

We had a lively shower and a loud rumble of thunder 30 mins ago. Sun's out now... towers up all around me. Anymore thunder showers to come?

Plenty of convection and potential but as yet,nothing stormy has materialised just a couple of light showers to report.

Stuck under the same damn piece of infill for most of the day here, I can see some decent convection around but alas nothing but cloudy skies over the Fens.

There are a few nice looking cells around and clearly you're under or near one!  Where I am it's just dark and wet with steady rain and a miserable 13.5C.

Been quite warm and sunny once the cloud went, in fact too hot for a coat. Just had a moderate shower that barely made the stones outside wet. looks a bit stormy Mk way.

Fridays is half day at school and it was actually nice not to get soaked doing the run.

Well, today was a day with sunny spells and nice, convective cloudscapes from passing heavy showers. I saw a nice anvil to my south-east from a cell that popped up near Haslemere around 1715. Cloudy now, the nights are certainly drawing in!

What a wonderful autumnal morning! Sun low in the blue sky, heavy dew on the lawn and windows slightly misted up from the cool overnight temperature. 

 

The day can only get better..... there's 4 rugby World Cup games on!

It's been a very mice day here. Lots of sun and pleasant too in light winds. More of the same tomorrow too.

Looking at the models next weekend could very well follow the same path with the unsettled week giving way to high pressure building in from the south west.

Interesting sky today. Looks like someone has taken a paintbrush and randomly flicked white paint over a blue canvas. Not sure what that means weatherwise?
