I'm glad to see a bit of development south of me I may still get to see more than distant flashes and rumbles. About half hour ago I though it was gonna pass east of me but thanks to the cells to the south I may get to see something yet lol. Im also noticing the Bournemouth cell is moving slightly east, prob end up in the storm hotspot of Lincolnshire lol

Don't think my parents would be too pleased with me walking to the end of my road just to look over the horizon for the lightning hehe, but it has to be done!

Hope everyone is enjoying themselves!

Must say check out those rainfall rates of the cell over Salisbury incredible, must be supercell!

Very high based lightning, and was great sitting in garden watching it flash all around me, then the heavy rain came, so had to shoot inside! Still rumbling away, fantastic storm!

That cell around Stoke-on-Trent will skirt you prtty soon. Alright it might not be directly overhead, but you will certainly see a few flashes from it.

STOKE-ON-TRENT!!! I assure you, there is no cell near here. Have you been drinking?

my son's out chasing the wilts monster.....he's currently in Winchester heading up the A34, I've told him to 1) be bloody careful!...2) go up the A346 I'll meat him nr Swindon....We've one cell overhead here now kicking out some lovely forks, but looking south towards Salisbury, it's a flash a second...incredible stuff, and it's getting closer by the minute!

It is mental here in Newbury, lightning everywhere. I'm unplugging all electrical equipment next I reckon.

Bournemouth cell seems to have progressed to Marlborough. I'm lying in bed in W Oxfordshire hoping it makes it my way. Distant thunder now approaching

Lightning strikes ever second or two, literally! Storm approaching from the south, thunder rumbling in the distance is starting to become more pronounced, and looks like it's heading this way too!

I'm not interested in distant flickers....I want the full monty. If I had a car I'd be VERY tempted to hit the road and intercept that S England monster.

Sitting here observing the clouds above me, the wind has changed direction up top in the last twenty minutes. What I can see is going more NE now than directly north. Just an observation...

Feeling pretty optimistic. Looks like a lot of the East Midlands region is in for some fun in a few hours!

Hopefully I keep strolling up the garden and look to the South/Southwest,but nothing as yet.The only thing lighting the sky up here is the beautiful moon which looks almost yellow tonight. Not a cloud in the sky to be honest!!.
