It's already quite windy here now, got some massive trees in the garden and can here it from inside the house. Only moved in here few months ago, not looking forward to high winds this weekend as much as I normally would be

Only recorded 1mm of rain so far in Feb. But of a change from the start of January!

Quite a notable spell of weather for our region over the next few days! Concentrating on today's events.... although nothing like the North Regions have encountered recently, certainly an episode not often encountered in Southern Regions....stay safe all and have a lovely weekend! :)

Sat image of the Centre of the storm system to the North West of Ireland and NWP chart for reference / comparison. Beginning to get quite gusty now....hold on to your hats!

See charts above, but I would say any time between 3pm and 6PM, then easing a little, however winds will still be strong I would think up to 11pm.

Monday looks worrying, latest forecasts going for 70-80mph gusts along south coast facing counties so could easily see something around the 60mph region across London and the Home Counties.

Quite still in comparison here wind wise at the MIN. May be it will get here soon. Been cloudy all day, at least the rain is holding of for now.

Blowing a hoolie here! Monday could be quite nasty especially if we get any showers/squalls...

Indeed quite concerning, only a few days ago those strong winds were being modelled out in the channel & northern France, the South East of England has not seen those sort of wind speeds in years.

It's not too bad outside to be honest,  bit gusty but nothing out of the ordinary.
