Windy... But not cold , have noticed that my grapes are growing rather rapidly and each year that happens we have a lovely summer ...

Yes it feels a lot warmer than yesterday. Interesting regarding your grapes, my Mum mentioned that her Canna lilies were growing faster than normal and that indicated a hot summer....we shall see!

Slowly edging across the N Sea but very little activity compared with the re-invigorated area just off the Dutch coast.

What was a mass of white is slowly and inevitably turning orange and red. Apart from the newly developing area to the NE *sigh*

Just saw a flash here. It was bright enough to light-up the bedroom. Either lightning or a local generator has blown.

All activity now pretty much behind what is surely just a mass of rain now, unless something kicks it into gear over land.

where in wivenhoe do you live, lower or upper

Upper, near the Co-op. The flash must have been to the SE going by how it lit up my bedroom.

I lived for 6 years on the Quay, which was brilliant for seeing lightning over towards the continent.

Blimey, Rosabelle for me.

Anyway, this is probably boring the pants off everyone else. See you in one of our pubs sometime.

Looks like Gt Yarmouth and Lowestoft could be having some fun shortly.

I seem to recall a set-up a few years ago like this when the showers re-energized off the East Coast, so I don't think it's a bust yet. And there's a second front leaving Netherlands.

Shame that the initial cluster seems to be dying rapidly, but fear not as another cluster is developing behind, and at the moment it looks great on blitzortung

Just had a rather lively bit of weather just now! The rain combined with the strong wind made things a little scary out there, wouldn't be surprised if all the lanes got flooded. No thunder here though.
