Oh My.. it does sound magical. I really would like to witness this... just once.. my grandparents (and parents) have told me similar tales. My grandparents remember it more as they are farmers and it was blooming hard for them..

If the Icon 18z plays out, that’s all snow for our region

not sure why my dp is so off, don’t know what’s going on there. Important as well in these setups. 

My wind speeds are screwy as well as too many houses near me. Performs better in northerly winds though.

The DWD ICON is actually a useful model. I use it in the Summer when thunderstorm events are within a 12 to 48 hours period - brownie points from me! I haven't used it for anything further ahead than that though.

What are those “nowcast” models showing - can’t reme their name?! Is it the NMM or euro4? Need to give my boss the heads up for the morning.. he comes from Tetbury to Wells

Not a bad shout. The moors forecast has updated to say mostly sleet and snow on Monday so the theory is correct.
