Welsh  mountains snow barrier has been in full effect all night as well checking back on the radar, got my doubts now about last night's points west weather forecast, imby anyway, been showers passing to my east though so looking good for people out that way.

Hello, I remember you too, from quite a while back. As previously said I was under a different username . I'm now in Taunton too. 

Ps as far as one can tell no snow here but again for a time it was breezy and  now quite chilly .

Apparently it is meant to be snowing over newbury.. currently. Think I’m on the edge ..the lamppost isn’t showing me anything. Either that or am too bleary eyed from sleep and can’t focus

Shredding the showers to bits, and then whats left has to make it over the channel.

I was dubious I have to say about it snowing in this area just by past experience .

Looking at the radar a lump of ppn is around Bristol heading south east. Couple of flurries in Dorset bits and pieces in Devon and Cornwall of mostly rain. Underwhlming for most but we sort of knew that would happen. But good luck everyone today!!!

ECM edging south for Sunday's potential

a few more corrections south and more of us may well be in the firing line.

Carol on breakfast did just mention the M word lol, so as it stands those in the north of the region have a shot.

3.4C, and I don’t expect that temperature to rise much at all today. Conditions are finally conducive for snow. Just need th precip here now

Had some rain earlier, netweather radar showed it  as sleet but I couldn't really tell looking at the lamp post.

Oh and that M4 is getting on my nerves regarding the snow line on Sunday, just 20 miles south of it as the crow flies so just another small correction south needed :D

Not really as cold as expected yet, was 5.2c midnight and dropped through the night to 3.3c now.
Westerly winds through the night and its just trying to move to NW now. 1016.0 hPa
Little windchill showing on the station and just went out to feed the birds and it does not even feel cold at all.

Not expecting any snow here, but will be looking out for the odd rogue flake or two maybe over the weekend.

Morning, reporting from the lofty Mendips and can confirm we have a good 6 inches of no. No continues to fall, coming down thick and fast now leaving everything looking sludgy brown; love how no creates a winter wonderland of drab.

Hardly anything. Looks like a heavy frost. Cold enough just need the showers to get going

Just had a traumatic start to day....woke up, made a coffee, opened the back door to go outside to have a cheeky smoke.....and wallop! something  hit me right between my bloody eyes.......damned snowflakes :crazy:
