Sat enjoying a very warm, clear evening in the garden I decide to have a glance through the apps, I know this one is prone to inaccuracy and only picks one weather type per day, but blimey (!!) this could be the last evening out here for a while!!

Cloudy with some interesting Ac and Ci. Quite an impressive, what I take  to be a frontal boundary, on the 00z ascent around the Ac layer. Temp 14C and a breeze from the WSW

Breezy today, but brighter now, with some sunny spells breaking through.

A proper sunshine and showers day today, warm and bright enough between showers to dry washing but 3mm accumulated along the way.

Pretty ghastly out there at the moment. Other than some intervals of sunshine today in which one could be reminded it is still July, the last two days have been as if we've fast forwarded to the second half of September! Currently sheeting it down with drizzle. Weather needs to buck up and fast!

Ideal summer afternoon for my boy's first birthday ; dull, windy, drizzle and sharp showers!

Our lovely garden is wet and unoccupied and instead we have a lounge full of people!

Doesn't really matter a jot Andy as long as the wee fella is in good health and enjoying himself.

Rain is further North than  predicted, bar the odd light shower it's been dry all day.

Doesn't look like we will see much rain today  now!

A foul day has got steadily worse. Currently low St, fog, continuous rain, temp 15C and wind gusting 35mph from the SW.

The winds really got up this evening although not a lot of rain yet. 16.9°C.

Another wasted day of high summer, with the models continuing to look bland, boring and quite frankly nasty for this time of the year. July's rating is really taking a hit and could end up disappointing overall now.

Warming up nicely this morning, err I mean night, from 15.6c an hour ago to 17.2c now!!
