I still have a snow patch in the garden ☺ with snow shadows remaining under the walls and deep hollows.

Around 30% cover on East facing slopes behind me with only an 80m higher altitude.

we've had a good winter though, very good spell, no big deal of course in 90's, as it would be the norm, and through Jan-Mar

I remember some pretty cold and snowy weather in the early 80s. One of which stayed cold and frosty until March, can’t think what year tho.

It could have been any of the years between 1984 and 1987 all of which had cold and quite snowy Marches after cold spells during the winter ( at least they did here, and particularly when compared to recent winters)

50% snow cover finally lost here by early afternoon as the temperature rose steadily. It's been a reasonable spell though with 10 consecutive mornings with lying snow ( 50% cover or more ) at 0900, the most in December since 2010.

Care to justify that assumption? I feel it is perfectly reasonable to suggest we will see more snow before the winter is up. We have all of Jan,Feb and March still to come. It would be ludicrous to write them all off already.

Still patches of snow lying in the shade here despite a max' of 8.1c today. If local folklore is to be believed it's a sure sign there'll be some more to 'fetch the bones'
