Weather fronts stalling over the spine over the region.

i’m sure I remember these from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s but unfortunately they are a much rarer beast these days.

maybe things are about to change.

I think Saturdays was never going to be more than light and patchy although it could give some snow if conditions are favourable. The one on Monday is the one to watch.

Evening all

As my spring watch has been put on hold my attention has now has to turn back to winter

Mode.With reference to Saturday I suspect that the front will fail to pass anywhre to the East of the M6 areas to the West of the M6 having damp and raw day as the front spreads in,as the front pivots and heads back East there may be a bit of sleet/wet snow if the colder air from the East catches the front up(as shown on the latest fax)

To early to discuss snow prospects next week but would be very surprised if we are not talking about some disruptive snow fall by the end of next week.

The ECM has a different take on Tues, front doesn't quite make it :nonono:
