Anyone have details date records for maxima and minima interested to see any statistical quirks. Someone saying tomorrow could be a date record 28.3 degrees, but surprised it's that low given late April can deliver warmer maxima.

30C has only been reached on 15 days in May and some of those days (7 in total!) are from the old Camden Square site in London which was questionable with regards to shelter.

It's pretty uncommon to be honest.

The Tornado and Storm Research Organisation or 'TORRO' is a privately supported research body, serving the national and international public interest.

Although it says minimum, this is the link for maxima..

It's missing some date records from last year on the 23rd July (33.6), 24th July (32.8), 25th August (33.3), 26th August (33.2), 28th December (18.6) and from this year  10th April (26.0).

Last year must have the highest number of record maxes recorded behind 1976 but much more spread out.

Many thanks for the link above, not seen before. Will have to study and comment in due course. I can already see some statistical quirks, days that have failed to match highs on either side by over 2 degrees. 13 June stands out notably!

The 34.4 deg on 3rd June another as it is almost 3 weeks later before it is bettered

The minimums for May are also a little strange as all but one up to the 20th are at least -6.1 where it suddenly drops to -3.9 deg

Four of the Camden Square readings were matched elsewhere by 30C+ readings.
