Light snow here now.  Best make the most of it because there's nothing else coming behind this one 😂

Yeah it's turned back to snow proper here too.  Honest  I'm glad I'm seeing something but these are just the scraps 😂

Shame that shield isn't there in the summer to stop all the low cloud and sea fret !!

We usually get lucky on Teesside in these kind of set ups to be fair but it just isn’t happening this year and I’m not hopeful for Tuesday to Thursday.

All down to the small section of wind on Teesside which is going west where Newcastle are in an easterly. Couldn’t write it lol.

Seems to be quite a bit of activity again but the flow is getting slacker so the showers might struggle to come onshore now, at least until Tuesday. Looks like Sunderland is due one more at least this evening though

Radar looking decent for coastal areas.  One approaching me as I type with a few more forming behind.  Might get a nice little covering by tomorrow morning. Can't believe how much it's come to life in the last hour.

Finally it's took 1 hour and 10 minutes to travel about 6 miles but it's finally snowing! And I'm happy with the radar tonight 😂  Been snowing lightly for the last 10 minutes but becoming heavier now...

Looks like Newcastle will miss out, unless some of those other showers finally make it inland. Looks decent for Sunderland and Washington though

Same here as Washington it seems @P-M . Another cm or so come down over the last half an hour. Roads white again and sledge tracks disappearing.

Great to see the white stuff right on the coast too! After a slight lull it's going heavy again now.  Got a red blob incoming lol

I can't get over how slow-moving these showers are.  Over an hour to reach me from you!

Usually just sleet here as well, over the moon it’s proper snow, and settling.

Just been looking at the radar, looks a lot more promising than it did a few hours ago.

It certainly does Vee. Plenty more activity behind this if it doesn't fizzle out.

Defo a bigger clump showing on the updated v8 radar. The 700hPa wind vectors actually show the showers on a Northerly path so must be from micro disturbances between the E of Scotland low & that effecting the SE, thus where the 2 systems are colliding. The size of the arrows suggest the showers moving at glacial pace so almost hovering over the sweet spots.  Enjoy

I agree it's tipping it down and the shower almost stationary.

Tried to get a video to show but doesn't do it justice.
