And here we have the marginality of the Coast and SST - maybe too early.

Yes way too early in the season for us, sat currently 10.4. By Jan if we keep the below average trend going SST's should be about 6.7 as opposed to 7.7, huge difference to now.

Raining here

Always something here is there!

Too cold, too mild, too dry, wind from wrong direction, evaporating before hitting the ground, too low, too high, inversion, mild sector, warm air modification, wind direction change, ground too wet, wet bulb incorrect, Pennines eating it.

We literally are the worst place for snow to fall. I’d bet the Isles of Scilly have more snow days than here

Must have a mad micro climate in Bolton there mate, you’ve broke the November temp record by a country mile. Go Bolton!

I commented a few years ago that everything has to be 'perfect' for us to get snow anymore; the window is so small. Even the last decent snow (Feb/Mar 2018) didn't hang around for long. I think it was last Nov/Dec and I was out cycling, and the rain was freezing; however other parts had snow......typical.

Never used to be like this.

It is crazy how bad it has gotten, and I don’t really understand why. Global warming etc wouldn’t have an influence on how perfect Synoptics have to be. Plenty of times the conditions have been greatly supportive, but as you say, it’s rained.

Snowing here now with some fairly decent sized flakes

Hello everyone, hope you’re all okay!

Just thought I’d pop in to say it has just started snowing lightly in Manchester City Centre

Glad Preston is in the action. Usually the snow tends to avoid that area.

Looking at what it’s like here, it could be an “interesting” drive over the tops to Burnley for the football.
