Bah humbug. Died and split apart as it came over, Blue skies to my NE again.  Still got my fingers crossed for something nice.

All missing me by a fraction of a mile either to east or west. I can see it snowing in the distance over and over again. Some have even evaporated when about to hit me head on and then re-appeared the other side of me. Magic!

Another wonderful winter's day in Belper. Icy start, cold east wind, white hills surrouding.  Sun shining. Would be nice to get a shower as they have dodged us today but proper winter weather neverthless. And more of the same tomorrow with the coldest night of the year in prospect. I'll be up early for a proper winter walk over hard frozen ground i think. Magic.

Silly me. Forgot to mention the ones that split right overhead.

There goes yet another shower dumping a blizzard a fraction of a mile away.

Amazing where and how quickly  these showers have developed.

Went out for a walk (1.5hrs) - no clouds and warm (?) and sunny, when I started..

Comeback and we seem to be about 5 mins from the start of snow showers-ville.

Looks to be still more developing on a true NE.

Still below freezing  in the shade, but some melt where the sun has been out.

MIA

Oh no.. It's awful when you can see it out the window..

The streamer the other day I could see out the window of my house going past all day

You did great last night. More then than Belper has had the whole period i think. It's luck of the draw. Personally i'm more than happy to have the sun shining, cold temepratures, ice and snow. But more, of course, would always be welcome!

Yes did a screenshot earlier showing me in the middle of a snowless part.. When I went back to watch the animation the showers intensified out of nowhere around derby and uttoxeter.

-1C, cloudy, no sun, instant melt when snowflakes hit the ground. Don't know what's going on during the day with this cold spell.

I’ve had one shower pass within a fraction of a mile to my east, another a fraction of a mile to my west, another split in half overhead, and another disappeared overhead and re-appeared the other side of me. I could see all of them dumping snow in the distance.

I think the weather is trying to even out the luck I’ve had this winter!

Around 10.30pm we had a shower. Just a very slight dusting. Very much welcome to be cold and just about white.

Before that we have managed to avoid the good stuff.

Would be nice to have a dumping that stuck around for days nice and cold and Icy.

On another note the flooding in my garden is getting really frozen can almost walk on it now.!!

Belper is usually a great spot too, So unlucky to not get any. I used to do alot of work up there every winter It seemed would always get a dumping them would drive back down the a38 to snowless Burton.

Yes would not say we have done particularly well out of this. Last night we copped that shower.

The melt is strange for sure.

Hi Lisa, if that's just outside of Mansfield Woodhouse on the way to Warsop, I saw it yesterday. Looks amazing. Good pictures.

That icicle on next doors guttering has grown a bit today too.

Snowing pretty heavily now too. Probably won't last though, skies are already clearing.

Yet to see one of the really heavy showers during this cold spell. Let’s see what this one will do to avoid me. I reckon it’ll either tunnel underground or go into reverse and return to where it came from.
