Thought I'd see how the storm's going by having a look at the Eunice thread. Wish I hadn't bothered and I don't recommend it unless you like reading 8 year-olds bickering.

We now have drizzle... ah well, time for lunch maybe.

Maybe some slizzle mixed in?

Temp dropped from 3.1C to 1.2C in the last 20 minutes and light, now moderate snow is falling. Radar showing stuff perking to the west of the central belt and incoming. Ooooo.

Snow hammering down here but the local wet baws are not for playing ball!

Forecast is for the level to drop as the afternoon wears on hopefully there is still enough precipitation about by then to give us a covering. Most of this mornings snow has now melted here

Up to 17cm from the 15cm earlier where I measured on the driveway, but it seems to be softening and compacting despite the temp hovering around freezing all day so far. Wind up a little so some small drifts, and there's 20cm on the BBQ 'Gazebo' out the back, but only around 10cm on the grass. Still going, but less intense.

Kind of fizzled out a bit here now.. very fine snaw and temperature must have gone up a bit as the dripping has started too... could be a cold night coming up once the cloud clears later....

Aye those wet baws at it again. Troublemakers...

We got up to 5c here this morning but dropped back to 3c now. Still to see a flake of snow though!

Still snowing steadily here, oddly still not a breath of wind - the friend I visited for the caravan over in Cushnie says it's starting to blow in so maybe the wind isn't too far away!

Lying snow having an effect over by Westhill...

Feel like driving over there to test the new all seasons. Cannae believe it's late February and I've still not had a chance to drive on decent snaw.

Still. It's trying its best oot and starting to lie again. Might yet get something approximating a covering!

That's not a hill, coming up from the roundabout anyway, it's not much more than a 'rise'.

At least it vindicates the decision last night to close my school. Not that it's made much difference to me, been sat in front of the PC all day doing work stuff.

Despite it being 0.4C it's barely lying in wet ice patches on grass only... The baws ain't playing here today either at this asl.
