I’ll install a massive fan and blow it your way. Can’t promise you much due to how light the snow has been (so far) 😅

Doesn't sound too amazing for Thursday. Think as it stands we will have to settle for a period of rain Thursday afternoon/evening. Let's hope for further corrections south.

The Met office have just updated the warnings for snow and we have yellow warning from today until Friday. I must say it was rather surprising. A pleasant surprise, if I may say, so, I hope it comes off.⛄☃️🥶❄️❄️☺️

UKV 06Z looks good for us. The meto warning for today states 5 to 10cms for some areas within the warning zone which could fall within a few hours. ⚠️🌨️

Feb 3rd '94 comes to mind a Thursday, white out morning gales and heavy snow, but mild with rain by midday

Warnings released after people's morning commutes, which impacts people's evening commutes? I don't get that decision.

I think this is just a taster, as the afternoon goes on it will become colder and hopefully something a bit heavier so it will soon start to settle, tomorrow morning rush could be chaotic to say the least. BRING IT ON I SAY

I think the radar is struggling, we've gone from snow to rain/snow in the last 20 mins yet it's the heaviest the snow has been all day

The precip type radar images don't show what's actually falling. It takes the radar image of what is falling for intensity and location of the precip and then overlays what it believes that would be falling as based on a computer model it uses. So that data must have suggested that at 1015 the precip would likely become sleet rather than snow across the areas now changed.

A few flakes finally started blowing around here so just the 4 hours of continuous snow higher up to finally breach the dry surface layer.

Hopefully coming your neck of woods next week, corona permitting to visit my 98 year old Nan in Kings Bromley, will be mild by then though

Just been checking the motorway cameras, there is nothing really sticking anywhere in the W Midlands. All along the M54, M6 to Birmingham and down the M5 to Worcester, just green even on the high bit around M5 J2-4

CV5 area slightly higher elevation report saying starting to settle, not sure how believable that is though, could be possible 🤔

The heavier precip is south of all that area currently. (Hereford across to Northampton roughly)

Certainly sticking up here on the Malvern Hills! Just constant light snow but it's slowly mounting up.
