Looks like it’s going to be a very wet day for most of us tomorrow ☔️

looks like an unusually small / focused area for a warning

Not too surprising given it hasn't gone above 5-6C since the snow fell and the weak sun / short daylength!

Temperatures in Leek since the snow below; not gone above 4.5C, but you're a bit lower in elevation so probably didn't climb over 5.5C yesterday, mildest day of the month so far there.

I should have made a snow pile in the garden just after the snow fell to see how long it would last, but maybe another chance in this winter to do that.

Very cold and frosty earlier today.

I went walking this morning and even the grass puddles had frozen over, but we were rewarded with a rare blue sky 🙂

Sorry to say but the Dew Points ani’t having any of your hopes I’m afraid

It’s a couple of weeks of Mild Depression for now on , then hopefully heightening to the NorthWest Atlantic/ Blocking, may bring hopes of a Northerly just before Christmas Day 🥶🙏

Rapidly warming up now after a day of frost patches and ice and a few bits of remaining snow.

The upcoming weekend looks to be very wet indeed, but looking much more pleasant from next week onwards (mild and sunny).

I know it was leaning more towards the low probablity, but the weather warning was no ore than a damp squib, ithe rivers are high, its been wet but no more so than any other rainy day, puddles yes - surface water flooding no, just lots of stuff on local media ( and hence picked up by news feeds) with "live blogs" about the rain.

Apparently we are facing a wall of snow as well (?) if the same news sites are to be beleived.

certainly didn't need a warning for Lichfield/King's Bromley, they were in warning, SE of Stoke

Only 3mm of rain here over the last 24 hours, still a miserable day with no sunshine.
