About time the Met took their snow warning off now & replace it with rain, threat to public has more or less dissipated.

Chucking it down with rain now, hard not to imagine what might have been if it was a few degrees colder...

A sleet/rain mix for the last few hours and snow is slowly thawing. Can hear the dreaded drip drip sound. This is in the centre of town though, not sure what it's like in the higher parts of Belper.

Lots of flood alerts across the region now.

5.5 degrees here in Worcester, lowest temperature since midnight 0.5 degrees at 0100, has been raining on and off all day.

currently looking at the forecast for the next few days, I think flooding maybe of a concern along the Severn valley in the coming days especially with the ground saturation

Disappointing here, especially considering other parts of Shropshire did pretty well with snow.  Just have to hope for something better next time!

Fair play to all you who had a decent snow event last night! 👍

From that weather watcher in North Warwickshire yesterday afternoon. With the higher elevation the area had less extensive fog, at times almost clearing compared to where I was in central parts of the county! Very nice rime ice on trees there too.

Temp hovering just below 2C, maybe if this has a daytime temp, a bit of sleet/wet snow may of been in the mix, but it's not, so looking forward to another 18/24hrs of cold rain.🥱

I agree. I absolutely detest this constant rain and dark skies.

We've had so much rain and unsettled weather this year 😴

Think we've had enough water this year to cover about 3 dry summers (hopefully)

Horrible morning, stopped briefly but a dreadful forecast for the rest of the day.

Warming up a bit though, heating has been caned this last few days!

I don't think we'll be seeing a hosepipe ban anytime soon 😊

Local river forecasted to reach it's highest ever level next week, which probably won't happen, but it baffles me that the Met Office haven't even issued any warnings here.

I think that's very possible. It rained here all day yesterday, most of the night and it's chucking it down now. More rain is forecast for tonight, tomorrow and most of this week, so I think we could see a lot of flooding in the Midlands. I noticed the brook near me was close to flooding this morning on my way to work, that will probably be flooded by the time I get home tonight.

A couple of images took yesterday afternoon as the thaw was going on, used the drone in light rain too - but not for long, i did get higher but the mist base was too low to capture anything decent. I should have got out eairler but i had been awake best part of 22 hours so a nice sleep was on the cards!

Short lived but that night was Ace.

Still slushy snow lying here with fog and light rain.
