So for the first time since mid mid May, I have recorded the lowest max temp at 13.2c….What’s is so annoying we have been having a constant feed of heavy showers since 9am and still going.

Now when the same northerly airflow has happened in Winter , the showers clips the east coast  say Yarmouth Lowestoft etc of which is Snow.

Just incredible that this always happen.

A perfect Autumn day..sharp blue sky , just that edge to the wind. Many trees still green contrasting with the blue sky in my local wood..

avy Dockyard at Chatham this is just a fraction of hundreds of vessels built and re fitted there over centuries...maybe we would not  be doing what we are doing without those people ....plus its home if home is where the heart is (even if i don't live there anymore ) god bless them 🙏

Spending a week in Sea Palling, Norfolk, and it was a beautiful sunny start to this very sad day. Took a break from watching the Queen's funeral on TV for an hour this afternoon and popped to the beach for some fresh air. The keen NW'ly breeze was bringing some decent sized waves onto the beach and also a brief shower from the clouds showing in my pic.

Very quiet day weatherwise, cloudy with very little breeze and warm enough to carry on gardening in shorts and vest.

If there are any gardeners, look out for a variegated Knautia with magenta flowers called Thunder and Lightning, I couldn't resist it!

Rain has gone through a lot quicker than expected, it's even leaving the far south east coast lol

Very wet overnight and early morning here in Sea Palling, Norfolk, but thankfully clearing to give a pleasant afternoon with plenty of sunny spells. A few pics from today featuring the seals on Horsey beach and the beach and sunset at Sea Palling.

Few bits of drizzle and one heavy ish burst spurn 4pm as I left work but even that wasn’t widespread as only a mile down the road at home it was dry!

That heavy stuff is sitting just a couple of miles off the coast - if it had stuck around the warning would’ve been correct. But I also see it’s been fairly persistent between Brighton and Eastbourne the last couple of hours so maybe some flooding locally there

I wasn't expecting to be woken up by a very heavy shower this morning, with 10 minutes of deafening rain on the caravan roof. Sun coming out again as I write. Feeling a bit chillier outside with a stiff breeze off the North Sea.

Time-lapse from my non Storm chase, major spits and spots of rain can be confirmed here with major signs of a grey cloud developing here in the South East, good signs of the Autumn season beginning as the Storms really get fired up.

Well it was never a guess able situation  ,the computers couldn't pin it  exact ,but they was I guess expecting the front to stall and a little circulation did try to form ..coz winds was more from east than  north, ,just got sat on by our high ,pushed to far south
