Hi All, the climate seems to have changed so much, so fast. 19C and sunny yesterday sat in the garden for lunch. Warm again this morning with clear blue skies, apart from a very light shower half an hour ago out of the smallest cloud. Very odd. Good health to you all.

Is this the latest time in the year for a thunder storm ?

We have had thunder at christmas before now, and thunder snow events.

Morning, all you S.E. Regional Thunder lovers.

Hope I find yourselves and your Families, well.

Below, is a copy of a post I just put up on the Storms Thread:

QUOTE:

"After those two blistering heatwaves during the Summer and with what must be higher than average S.S,T's in the English Channel, it should come as no surprise to experience quite a Thundery Autumn, especially in Southern Coastal locations.

We seem to be developing a Mediterranean type climate.

Thundery transition from Spring > Summer. I witnessed a couple of Thundery episodes here in S.E. London, in May.

This was followed by a pretty much Thunder free Summer, which was followed by a bit of Thunder as Summer transitioned into Autumn.

Being half Italian, I have witnessed plenty of Thundery episodes whilst on holiday during October, in Southern Italy."

Regards,

Tom Q. 👍

A typical summer's morning in Norfolk, dull and grey. Looks like the heavy rain will as usual give this area a wide berth!

At least it's warm.....

Huge gunshot Thunder here, in S.E. London, about 10 minutes ago.

But fortunately Bromtophobic me, didn't see any Lightning.

Ironically, was supporting 'er indoors as my Wife made a 'cuppa in our Kitchen, as Colette has a Mice Phobia.

We've had an ongoing Mouse problem, for a few Weeks now and having Two Phobics experiencing their worst fears simultaneously, is a bit of a Nightmare.

Just heard another slight rumble and now tipping down with Rain.

Laptop now running on charge only, with power cable removed from electric socket, as a precaution.

Regards,

Tom Q. 👍

My outlook for today. I've gone for a high risk because I'm finding it difficult to find a model with a busting scenario for Kent especially,

I'm in Paris at the moment, talk about the wrong time to leave, although I do have about a 30% risk for today.

The only real bust is CIN or the shortwave in the Bay of Biscay not making it here but the air isn't that dry nor is it over saturated and the PV lobe in the BOB is connected to the PV lobe over the south at the moment.

Hoofed it down here for over an hour, I couldn't even get back from the barn to the house so amused myself chiselling off the last remaining lumps of sheep poo cardboard from the ex-sheep pen and managed to off load the last trailer full of muck. No thunder but some boobies floating past on the back edge.

Some brightness and blue sky to my North West but Cloud approaching to my South.

Radar watching the stuff moving across the Channel at the moment, hopefully some interesting reports come in from our South Coast members.

It was the morning after the night before at Bournemouth beach this morning. After very loud thunder plus lightning and heavy rain that woke us all up during the night, the shore line was littered with washed-up cuttlefish.

Arriving home in Surbiton an hour ago, I went through the 'is that planes I can hear or distant thunder' routine and it's been rumbling around ever since. A big rumble as I type.
