The sun's finally made an appearance, nicely timed after I've been flat out in the garden since about 10am (as in working!) Time for a well earned Pimms....

Not a warm day at all here, unless you're out of the nagging onshore wind in an occasional patch of sun. I've had to add another layer!

It's gone unbearably humid here. Hope we get something to show for it.

Like most of the rest of you, it’s disgustingly humid here. Currently sitting at 21.8c and full cloud.

Wonder if that lot moving up from France will electrify. There’s one whole lightning strike in it now, don’t get too excited everyone 😁

I'll stand by for the usual cloud, humidity and drizzle/light rain...usually happens at least 8 times out of 10. 🙂

I’d swap happily, it’s still 22.7c outside and humidity is 90%. And it’s 24.5c in the bedroom. Not going to be a restful night

You can't say the water (channel) doesn't effect it ..maybe if over couple thousand feet it doesn't..so it can't be can it .

..leaves northern France loads of lightning then nothing.. fair play  got the rain but somethings  eathed it out on the electrical side (which sadley isn't ours ..:(

After what's been a warm and sunny afternoon here in St Leonards on Sea the rain has just arrived but doing nothing to supress the muggy feeling.  Currently 20.6c after a max of 25.4c earlier.  Some thundery activity would be most welcome but seems unlikely this 'far west'.  I'm not giving up hope though.

Rain has arrived which sounds nice. No storms but my understanding was around midnight for the storm potential. We'll see... what doesn't materialise

Distant rumbles to the south, 20.8°C and still very muggy despite the rain.

My head pressure tells me we're going to get it......🤞

Torrential rain now and thunder/lightening much closer.

The lightening radar showing a lot of activity in the channel and making landfall on South coast

If anywhere gets a thunderstorm tonight it will be the usual suspects of far east Kent Folkestone up to Ramsgate. Happens time and again on these summer night storm situations.

Not so much any more even here sadly. Used to be almost a guarantee of a French import several times a summer and these days it just seems to sail up the channel closer to France.

Just had some rain for a bit which hasn’t helped the humidity one little bit and have heard several very distant rumbles from what’s crossing the channel now (also to go to the east of even me here in SE Kent I would say)

The drizzle has morphed into heavier drizzle with some actual rain further south, but I think Estofex had more of a handle on things than the MetO etc. They should really stop going into a meltdown at the slightest indication of moderately heavy rain.
