Cloudy but mild with a gentle breeze.

Good luck to our friends further North and West.

Update: Cloud starting to break, plenty of blue sky about in North Kent.

Opposite here, cloud is about, a small breeze starting, milky sun rather than full obscuration.

It basically alternates between sunny and milky sun at the moment, you can tell your in the cloud of a storm, it's very high up. The fronts if they even reach here will be much lower. It's like a giant anvil.

Strangely calm here today considering there's a very deep low over ireland, mean windspeed is 7mph.

Weirdly mild here, 20.1°C up from a max of 19 all day. Wind picking up now after a still day.

Evening Scrat.. what an unusual name! Quaint even. Indeed a lovely evening. Phone says 16c, windows open. Quite surreal for the last week of Sept I think. Netwx 7 day forecast has 21c and feeling like 24 here on Sunday which should feel lovely. An afternoon walk shall be required!

Love an afternoon walk!  Scrat is the squirrel from Ice Age...it's so me lol!

Ahh.. I did think of that but thought I'd not make any sense by referencing it. So you're sabre toothed and love acorns.. I see. Funniest character in the movies by far.

Afternoon walks are great.  Autumn makes for the most colourful walks too as the leaves change. And kicking the piles of leaves.

More breezy now this evening too. Feels milder compared to earlier as well.

Anyone else have a strange looking sky colour this morning? Yellow(ish).....I'd usually associate it with the look of an incoming storm.

Probably to do with wildfire smoke from Canada being drawn in across the Atlantic by Agnes.

Bit like centralia ..will  they ever burn out ?.first lesson wet = no fires, hot and  dry  =  big fires....let's hope their  winter is wet too ..cold helps but not cold and dry because next year it gets worse ..so wet = no fires..so no smoke ..:(
