Looks like the next major storm maybe on the way late 27th into 28th.  So more potential damage on the way.

Anybodies guess who'll name it although the met office will be on the bottom of the list to do so. Thats if the storm does come along as shown.

Keeping a close eye on this, i'm back at work 27th-29th and likely going upto Newcastle and Stockton on those days.

Cross-posting from the model thread, the 15z UKV focuses the impacts more on Scotland. Still some details to be firmed up. Possibly more windy weather on the 28th/29th, but too early to be confident on that yet I think.

Last one didn't effect here, it's windier now than at any time during that storm, but I was always way to far south to notice that one, plus Dover is very sheltered from north west winds.

we have a storm going on here now, wind is scary!

Yes I’m not sure why today’s wind has been ignored.  UKV shows gusts approaching 70mph here.

Nothing out of the ordinary here just a breezy day.  Missing out this time. Local forecast is wrong ironically yesterdays was spot on. Leeds Bradford showing 37mph to 52mph on XCweather.

However it should be named and it isn't. The way the Met Office these days works as much like VAR in football totally baffling. Perhaps it's the same people doing it who knows.

This evening forecast brings the low back for Wednesday to Thursday. I'm going to Irish met office to name it failing that an oil rig in the north sea.

Slight modifications of the low position move the strong winds around a bit and reduce the duration but still a windy outlook.

Still there coming in two pulses the first Wednesday morning then a second spell pushing through wales and sw and then midlands and yorkshire through the evening. Scotland gets a good battering through out the period.

Time period looks to be from midnight Tuesday to Thursday early morning.

It just looks like a single patern to me 40mph gusts from Wednesday until late Thursday in London. It only drops down to low 30s briefly wouldn't see it as a seperate event.
