Flight from Seville to Edinburgh has had a change of plan by looks of it, no idea where it's heading as climbed back up to 33,000 feet and out over the North Sea.

That’s crazy, looks like it’s heading to Cologne.

Some weird and wonderful diversions out there tonight. Tenerife to Edinburgh diverted to Cologne earlier.

Wind still really gusting here and you can hear it roaring in the trees to the south of us. House also really creaking.  Reports of lots of trees down locally.

nothing managing to land at Edinburgh yet planes still taking off  from London heading to edi which I can't understand. If thought was dying down soon planes wouldn't be diverting to Germany from Edi.... amazing to see a plane take off from Shannon for a 40 min flight to edi and gonna end up on a plane for 2 and a quarter hours and land in cologne 🤣

Haha I am addicted to the flight radar app tonight. After two attempts to land it looks like the London to Edinburgh will now try to land in Belfast. There are more flights inbound, I hate flying and I am glad I am not on one of those planes tonight. Must be tough for the pilots.

Dublin it was.... and a couple of planes just made it in.... NFL finished now so should go to sleep but it's actually getting noisier here in the wind,.

The family and I just hunkered down last night, the wind was wild around 0100-0300. Ill go out at first light and keep my fingers crossed there is no damage, same goes for everyone else.

Horrible drive to work. Had a brush with a tree thanks to the oncoming driver blinding me with his lights. Thankfully it wasn’t more on the road and has just scraped the side of the car!

No trains running in Scotland until after the morning rush hour period. Chaos on the network with fallen trees, damage to overhead wires, a shed on line, flooding. Nothing from Lothian Buses, no update at all this morning

Unpleasant night, going by the groaning of the roof peak winds around 3am.  Kids (and thus parents) finally asleep just after that.  Will be zombie apocalypse in the school today if same story repeated elsewhere.

No damage noticed so far bar double plastic seat jumping to the other side of the lawn, dislodging the bag of compost that was supposed to have held it down.

Impressive snow melt overnight, all gone bar the 4ft snow ramp the kids built - now barely an inch high.

Strong west wind and 4c with clear skies.

No damage to report here but did see that someone had 2 touring caravans blow away overnight on the Suie Rd so it was as lively as it sounded at 3am.

Still pretty blowy out there now but at least the sun's out.

I fell asleep last night before the worst of the wind was forecast. It didn't wake me up so I can't comment other than to say there are local power outages and more trees down.

What I hadn't remembered to report here was that the heavy snow last Thursday brought down the odd tree locally. That's the first time I remember this happening round here since 2010.

Brief but lively showers blowing through today...
