 Mitch the motorbike storm

That's in the North Sea headed for north Kent/Thames estuary.

It's getting closer. Also feeling a lot more humid again.

An incredible kick-off for those clusters entering the channel now. One minute a cloud, the next full-blown thunderstorm. Wow.

Glad to see the rewards coming in for Kent now haha

Mitch the motorbike storm Probably North Sea fret or mist , always turns up when the surface wind is East or North East.

 Biggin

I think it's underdoing it. I think it's actually the channel storm that I see and it's lightning every 2 seconds with this storm.

Thunderstorms are now active in the channel! Rapid development 🙂 - Will they survive the channel crossing though. We wait and see 😄

Mitch the motorbike storm No I think it's the one in the channel. Looks to be headed just south of me so hopefully it expands eastwards. Lots of crud in the way at the mid-levels which will be what's stopping you from properly getting a good view of it but they're so tall that I can see the lightning still.

This storm is making my desicion to sleep extremely tough...

image.thumb.png.b350bfc8c21bf19c40ff88903a0d40c6.pngMy very (in)accurate drawing just outlines what the current radar direction is, and, if it survives, looks like the smaller storm under the main supercell part might reach S'ton or at lease southern IOW.

I've got a busy day tomorrow, but I can't miss a thunderstorm....

Sam jackson88 Le Harve one has been steering westwards for a while. We need to be watching the cluster that's just been born in the eastern channel. They're heading in this direction and that's backed up by the steering flow chart @Mapantzposted a short while ago.

Changed my mind about going to sleep. This new cluster has grabbed my attention! That steering flow should clip it nicely along the coast!
