The weather here has felt distinctly hung over after its late night last night. We have had mist and grey unbroken cloud all day with slack winds which have strengthened a bit this afternoon and evening to westerlies which have turned the mist into mizzle which has made it feel cold and dank yet again and now has turned into proper drizzle. Yuck.

Seeing lightning two nights in a row, although it's about 50 miles away.

Interesting getting storms here in Hertfordshire coming from the east. I am more akin to them coming from the south, the south east, the south west, west etc.

CAPE pool is slightly more east than forecast it appears. May get a storm outside of the low as this one is getting dangerously close. Surprising shift in what the models had firmed up as a small overnight scenario growing in the morning. Or this is the earlier risk delayed, in which case refer to this slight risk but delay timings a bit and i think shrink the western extent of it as well.

I accept forecasting isn’t an exact science but this experimental prediction is based on existing conditions so don’t immediately write it off as impossible
