 Joe Snow

Oh for higher ground in terms of the Pennines, it should be snow, I'm not writing that off, I'm on about lower levels in the north west where the PPN looked more patchy but now the models saying it's going to be mostly rain, the shadow is much less obvious.

Isle of Man
Snow from 09:00

ice pellets/snow mix from 18:00

Ice pellets/rain mix from 00:00 Friday

Rain from 03:00

8–12 cm of snow possible  over high ground. You may struggle at low levels as surface temperatures are very marginal.
Freezing rain risk from late evening on mountains.

cheshire snow It’s going to be a nowcast isn’t it. Probably a middle ground for lower levels like us between the misery Hi res models & GFS snowday.

Hang on, the lone sleet symbol who refused to go home has managed to drag some of his mates back out to play. 😂

Aye, it sometimes gets lost especially in the model thread, but the weather that comes our way is already decided - it's already set and nothing will change it, whatever the charts may forecast.

FWIW local temps here are widely lower than forecast... looking on wunderground everywhere is locally 1 or 2*c having been forecasted to be around 4 or 5, with the lowet temps not expected til after 6am. One of the major issues weve had is that surfaced would be too warm. I doubt that will be the case, we may see some upgrades.
