Horizontal sleet up here. Looking like a pretty grim day to come. I can't help but think I'd expected someone, somewhere to be reporting snowfall by this time in the morning.

It is turning, first green spec over Heswall.

 cheshire snow Yeah, vile weather here right now. Temperature is slowly dropping, but still sat at 2.5C with heavy rain and a bit of an Easterly breeze. Just about the worst kind of weather there could be.

Not much sign of a rain shadow effect right now it has to be said. Maybe it will kick in later as the easterly gets stronger. Today will be a good test.

Looks like the best part of 1000ft needed at the moment for snow, but this level may be driven down by heavy ppn, of which there is no shortage at the moment.

Dusting of snow so far snow is fine to moderate at the moment waiting for any heavy stuff expected some Large snow flakes today with the margins being so fine 

As I thought the heavy stuff isn’t here yet

I see the Manchester snow shield rolled over as soon as the PPN was rain and ushered it through 

Light to moderate rain, absolutely nowhere near conditions for snow here.
