Sparky68 it's weird to be honest, just like last spring though, warm in the sun, but the east windakes it feels cold, and at night or if cloudy it quite chilly.

Morning you glorious lot, felt adventurous a few mins ago, so braved the mad thread. Cannot believe there's still people in there, hanging onto the hope of winter. It's been a dismal showing, rain rain and more rain, it's raining again now. I'm ready for some warmth, not hot though, don't like hot. I just want this poor excuse of winter to go away, and to spend a few months realising it let alot of people down, and never to do it again. Naughty winter. Happy mothers day to all you mums, you do an unbelievable job, I'm off to pick up a surprise afternoon tea. Have a good day all.

Vile again today. Even when we get a few dry days, the moment it rains the bog returns. We're saturated and will take a very long dry period to rectify it.

Trying to landscape my garden, and the sowing season for grass is upon us. Can't do anything with the soil and it's treacherous underfoot. Puddles everywhere.

Mullet The dry days are proving useless because the current pattern (which has been predominant for months), means that we get 1 single dry day, or perhaps even just half a day that's a dry, surrounded by multiple days of not just rain, but rain for hours and hours upon end.

There is zero way our landscapes and agriculture industry (as well as just the general flora and fauna in nature) can start to recover properly until we have a properly settled dry spell with numerous sunny and dry days, with any rain condensed to small showers (as it should be in spring) and not 12-24 hours solid of rain.

Normally I take whatever the weather gives out does not generally effect my mood - but this rain is really starting to get even me down - just want to start puttering in the garden feel the sun on your face etc ! It really has been a wet rolling 12 month period …. It surely has to end soon ??

Agreed! Next door's garden is a pond again for about the third time in 6 weeks. Can't do anything in the garden. I actually managed to mow it on Friday, and planned its annual fertiliser for Monday, 4 days later. No, mizzle all day. Today - proper washout with flooding under our local bridge again. It was dry when we went out, and an hour and a half later it was 15cm deep.

Whoever programmed July's washout, forgot to turn it off, really hasn't stopped raining for more than five minutes since, almost literally.
