  1. Snowy L I get that, obviously people aren't happy as this spring is poor following a bad winter.
  2. Snowy L Hardly tragic mate is it, tragic would be your family getting killed in a road accident. We've had numerous decent springs on the trot so I think a number of crap springs on the trot was bound to occur.
  3. TwisterGirl81 I know, it is irritating but that's life, one year we'll get a snowy winter and a spring like spring. Fingers crossed
  4. TwisterGirl81 And you've had two springs or more that have been decent in terms of sun and felt warm. I love the sun myself but I'm just stating the weather can't be pitch perfect 24/7. We had a long run of drier and sunny springs before this spring and last year so we were bound to get a few poor springs on the trot, if the weather was the same constantly, we wouldn't be here would we
  5. In Absence of True Seasons "I can't recall a properly dry, cool and sunny summer" About time we got one eh lol but as I said to Sunny, weather isn't controllable so nature will be nature whether we like it or not.
  6. SunnyG It can't be perfect every year can it, no point in moaning because the weather is uncontrollable (thankfully). Eventually we'll get a spring 2020, a summer 2018 etc. Hang in there.
  7. CryoraptorA303 I agree, people have got to accept that the weather isn't gonna be hot and tropical all year around as this is the UK not Hawaii. People also forget we're on the east coast of the Atlantic which is as we all know very wild.
  8. In Absence of True Seasons Cool but dry, a combination we haven't really seen since summer 2001, remember cool/cold doesn't feel cool/cold when it is summer (if it's dry), just means that there is no sleepless nights and uncomfortable humidity.
  9. I would love it to be a cooler than average summer this year as we've not seen a below average CET summer since 2015, bring on the cold baby, that way there is more chance of my grass staying green all summer (like last year, only however because it was wet)
  10. The fact that some of the charts are showing a full on northerly in May is hilarious to me, I want to see how bad nature can make it just to wind everyone up
  11. stainesbloke I know, it is infuriating. The people running this environmentally unfriendly and ultimately vile process ought to be put in the sewers themselves. The rich, powerful and the tools of the rich and powerful have a complete disregard and disrespect for the planet and everyone below their stance on the food chain.
  12. Nothing special here today but that is one beefy storm off the coast of Margate there, gets me excited for storm season proper.
  13. Can confirm I just had my first thunderstorm of the year, it was like something out of the tempest, rain, hail even a bit of sleet. Today is going to be interesting
  14. That squall producing sferics is heading straight towards me, this should be fun
  15. I think tomorrow has the potential for some pretty beefy showers and maybe a few thunderstorms thrown in. Certainly a lively looking squall line pushing down through my location in the early hours. Still no thunder heard here this year but then again it is still early.
  16. It hasn't been that bad here, in fact just to rub salt into the wound I have had glorious sunshine here over the past few days so I am a happy chappy, I like weather of all kinds, I would not mind if it was 30 degrees all year round or just drizzle all year round, nature will be nature and we have to respect that and not make ourselves ill by worrying and moaning.
  17. on the coast Well yes I suppose it is, countrywide though it won't nearly be as soggy as April 2012 if the forecasts are near accurate. Wi
  18. This month hasn't been bad quite honestly so far, the distinct smell of spring is in the air and the temps are seasonal, in fact I've had 10mm so far and with not too much more forecast, England could have it's first slightly drier or drier than average month since august last year. Given El Nino was forecast a while back, we should've expected an wetter than average period albeit not as prolonged as this. Anyway nature has a way of preparing us for the opposite of a certain weather extreme, I reckon we will be in for a remarkable summer and I reckon it will happen because no one is expecting it. Watch this space.
  19. TJS1998Tom I've just got back from visiting my grandparents from Scotland so a thunderstorm would be a good welcome back but I noticed storm force beka had a storm in her location at the only time she was away. That happened to me once, that's life though isn't it.
  20. I am in the middle of that lot there spreading north east, hopefully I'll get my first thunderstorm of 2024 if the ingredients are all there added with a good ole bit of Irish luck
  21. Looking at the latest ukv, it shows some rather beefy showers tomorrow afternoon, any thundery potential perhaps? We'll see
  22. Wow 100mm+ for most of the country on the gfs tonight, the wet weather continues and let's keep it civil guys because arguing is something children do.
