  1. Azazel I think we ought to put this debate to bed before the moderators issue us points. Hope you have a pleasant day.
  2. Azazel Now you're just sounding like a twit, I don't appreciate your sarcasm either. Anyway winning the EuroMillions and Rihanna giving you a shoutout is more likely than it not raining at all for 5 months straight in this country and before you say something smart about my statement about Rihanna, all you have to do is text her on Facebook and there's a chance albeit incredibly small that she'll give you a shoutout especially if you're a big fan.
  3. Eagle Eye Looks like your forecast is bang on the money for east Scotland so far lad
  4. Azazel Well you said you genuinely hope which isn't much different to an expectation, there is a difference between a hoping for something that is likely and hoping for something that isn't gonna happen
  5. Azazel I don't think you're stupid (I do think you're sarcastic and rude) but I am just making the point you can't expect it to not rain whatsoever for 5 months straight, not even 1975/76 managed that.
  6. Azazel That request will never come to fruition, this is the UK not Turkey
  7. Summer8906 I was stating that ridiculous temps like 40C in summer 2022 combined with all that dry weather creates straw like grass, so yes you misunderstood but I'll accept your apology Alderc 2.0 No lush grass by the end of July means rain and sun have been in good supply, straw implies a drought or prolonged heatwave which ain't healthy for wildlife or elderly folk
  8. Summer8906 "Everything has grown excessively this year and there is no surprise given how much rain has fallen and now temps are higher and the sun is shining, much better than 40C and arid looking landscapes" My eyesight is pretty good, I can't see where I've mentioned that normal rainfall amounts equal to arid landscapes, please don't put words in my mouth.
  9. Don hmm I'm a pretty big guy so I ain't sure about that
  10. stainesbloke So because we've had an extended period of wet weather, thundery weather should be barred? That would make a pretty boring summer for extreme weather enthusiasts like me I think
  11. danm Showery suits me fine, hopefully some thundery potential
  12. Don Nothing happened to it probably, she is just being dramatic, I could've spent the whole day with me shirt off.
  13. SunnyG Fairy tales? You might want to get the definition of fairy tales correct before having a go back at me. Examples of fairy tales are tooth fairies, Easter bunnys and Santa claus, all of which don't exist and won't ever regardless of what you tell your kids. On the other hand what the GFS is showing for next week is perfectly possible.
  14. Everything has grown excessively this year and there is no surprise given how much rain has fallen and now temps are higher and the sun is shining, much better than 40C and arid looking landscapes
  15. Some pretty potent cells near Calais, providing they don't weaken, could be a nice surprise for anyone in the far corner of the SE i.e. Hythe eastwards
  16. MP-R From where I'm sitting, the models are pretty sound, the GFS especially is good even more so compared to recent months. I'm not gonna make a song and dance about the constant moaning because I am intelligent to realise some people can never be satisfied.
  17. Jonnoramo87 You really going to write off the whole of summer 2024 because of one long range forecast? Dude they can't even accurately predict the weather in 2 weeks time, let alone months. SunnyG "We ain't looking for things to go wrong" With all due respect mate that's exactly what you are doing
  18. Lots of strikes now coming from that cell in the North sea, anybody who lives in the middle of Mablethorpe and Grimsby may have a shout (providing it doesn't die out) as it appears it is making a v line straight towards that area.
  19. SunSean Fair doesn't come into it, I tell you why it has been this pattern since spring 2023, spring 2023 was ruined by the late SSW and then El Nino kicked in after that which fires up the jet and we've been in El Nino since then and we have had another late SSW this year which has ruined this spring as well. It hasn't got anything to do with unfairness, it is just the way nature has been recently.
  20. Useless weather today, just drab, dreary and cold. Thankfully next week is looking nice with a thunderstorm mixed in hopefully but I'm not holding me breath
  21. I don't think I witnessed that, I might've been unlucky and got a gap. I know if I did get it, I would remember it. I remember having a huge night time storm in 2015.
  22. I wouldn't call myself a heat hater but I defo find it uncomfortable sometimes more so when the humidity is high but this year has been great for heat haters so far, not so good for people who like it (check out the moans thread for proof)
  23. In Absence of True Seasons They ought to look at the weather forecast before they come.
  24. East_England_Stormchaser91 I can't remember that
  25. TJS1998Tom Today was never gonna be good to be honest except for a select few up North that have seen and are seeing some pretty hefty thundery showers. The main storms of this event was the other night down south, we've missed out in our parts, our turn next time hopefully.
