I never thought i'd have to make this difficult decision, but i think its for the best... -
Im going to threaten to join the no storms club, then the cells to the southwest might just edge a little further east, Cluching at large straws here
EDIT , they are falling apart :lol:

Can't believe i didn't get any lightning or thunder here today! Went out with my friends and walked through the farmers fields towards walkern and the horizon to the south was black. This quickly was overhead and it poured down, and i got soaked (had a jumper on, no coat.) I didn't witness any lightning or hear any thunder but the base of the cell had a nice structure with quite a bit of scud. We turned back soaked to the skin and bumped into the farmer
He told us we weren't supposed to be on the land, (which we knew anyway) and made us turn back towards walkern instead of letting us walk 100 yards or so in the direction to get home. By the time we had got back towards walkern and dangerously walked along side the road towards stevenage another cell was overhead and this time the rain was torrential and still no lightning or thunder The cloud scapes were excellent today but i'm really disappointed i didn't get an electrified storm. Watched the 6 0'clock news and the weather man mentioned how the showers beefed up over the chilterns and become thunderstorms over luton which isn't far from me, but i didn't see or hear anything. So close, yet so far.
Anyway, sorry about the ramble and the partly off topic story

Had to run and get the washing in off the line! -

We'll see though. Would like to stay up or at least set the alarm to check but i have a geography exam first thing tomorrow so i need sleep

A really heavy shower passed over at about 13:45 whilst i was in a physics exam. Really heavy rain and i don't think there was any lightening or thunder.

If the showers building west of london stay on course i should get a direct hit. But knowing my luck they'll die or something
Feeling really muggy today and seen loads of towers go up but not one bit of convective rain here today, there's me getting all excited about the prospects of a certain storm today lol

So frustrated, digital camera is taking pictures but are not storing onto the memory card
Any ideas what's wrong? Took some nice pictures too, even though the camera's only low cost. Very dark to the north and radar is showing more rain to the west of here but too hazy to see anything coming. -

Hopefully something develops to the south west of me so i get a direct hit, although im not too hopeful even when the forcast for my area is saying 56% chance of thunderstorms until 7pm

Doesn't seem to be, but on the radar it only showed a small shower which diminished quickly.

but the cell has already passed so didn't see any lightning, but how happy am i now
