  1. Anyone want more snow after today? Then look to Sunday.. http://modeles.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfs/runs/2013011806/gfs-2-54.png?6 http://modeles.meteociel.fr/modeles/gfs/runs/2013011806/gfs-2-60.png?6 Snow nearly here now..
  2. Yep Sunday also looks like potential for more snow. GFS 0z at T+63: http://91.121.16.5/modeles_gfs/runs/2013011800/63-574.GIF?18-0 06z coming out now. Current temp: -1.6C, DP -3.5C.
  3. Should start snowing here in 10-15 minutes, snow reaching the outskirts of Cambridge..
  4. Yes I do think it will, not for a few hours yet. Not expecting anything too significant for here and Peterborough, perhaps 2 inches maybe, it will mainly be light snow.
  5. Morning all: Currently -1.6C with a DP of -3C. Front does seem to be coming in a tad earlier than forecasted, it's now knocking on the door of Luton and Milton Keynes.
  6. Interestingly the ECM precipitation charts show a similar feature, though develop it mainly to the north of the region, more affecting NE of England. Certainly could happen, but a case of where I suppose. Still got tomorrow and Saturday first!
  7. Yes you'll be in one of the better placed areas for tomorrow, I'd say up to 4 inches (10cm) is possible for you tomorrow, going off met updates and latest NAE.
  8. Yeah each timeframe seems to have a different status to it each time you look! 18z rain/snowfall charts have snow ( with darker pink colours) for most of the region from around mid-afternoon tomorrow until around mid-morning Saturday.
  9. Here you are : http://www.weatheronline.co.uk/cgi-bin/expertcharts?LANG=en&MENU=0000000000&CONT=ukuk&MODELL=nae&MODELLTYP=1&BASE=-&VAR=rsum&HH=6&ZOOM=0&ARCHIV=0&RES=0&WMO=&PERIOD=
  10. Edit: Sorry my last post was wrong! PPN accumilations on 18z vary from as little as 3mm in the east of the region to 10mm towards the Milton Keynes area.
  11. Very cold today and the first ice day of this winter. Didn't get above -3C and the freezing fog has descended again. Currently -4.4C.
  12. Fell to -13.1C in Marham according to the BBC. Here it's -3.6C with some very dense fog.
  13. Yes I hope it can deliver for all in the region (and everywhere infact!). From what I've been reading today on the MOD, this weekend is a very complex set up in regards to the low, with the advection of cold air from the east to contend with, aswell as the continental airflow. A big headache for the Met forecasters down in Exeter for sure!
  14. The models look great tonight for the cold continuing - it's not going anywhere at all. Certainly the potential for snow on Friday/Saturday though as we all know there will be changes, it could easily be shunted further south for example. However, the potential is mostly certainly there. Currently -2C here. -4 to -6C possible for most areas tonight with some freezing fog around later in the night, though I think -10C is possible somewhere in Norfolk tonight with snowcover.
  15. I think I'll call it a night, suppose I will find out in the morning if this delivered any snow! See you in the morning.
  16. Light snow now in Cambridge Might stay up a bit longer to see how this progresses...
  17. A glance at the models - remaining very cold until the weekend at least, with a biting SE'ly wind accuentuating the cold towards the end of the week. Bitterly cold nights also in prospect.
