Will Liverpool bay be affected as much as areas on the coast further North, fairly flat here and only a few miles inland -

Afternoon all, just noticed the wind has picked up here in the last half hour or so, no rain yet. Gates and bins battened down ready for action

The thunder hail was a surprise this morning, thunder was so loud I nearly fell of my chair. The showers seem to have died away now but it feels really cold in that wind

Some really sharp hail showers through this area this morning, and they have increased in frequency since earlier on. Temp has been hovering between 5c and 3c feels a lot colder in that wind

It's gone really black here just had a heavy shower that sounded a bit like a rain and hail mix.

Welcome back North West thread! Windy and just the odd shower here

Did anyone see the twister over North West England, Skem, Wigan, Merseyside areas. It was definitely there, very thin reaching from the cloud downwards and had a rotating movement. Couldn't believe my eyes, had to use the camera on my phone, will upload when I find the lead
