  1. Right that's me done, met o warning for me is mainly for heavy rain. Will look in later
  2. Aaargh still nothing yet, they must be on a coffee break......... I am about to give up
  3. That's what I was saying earlier for my location. Just a thought, why is it that the GFS was/is criticised generally for being poor and not in line with other models and yet all hopes/disappointment/comments at the moment are being pinned on what it is showing this morning, surely the other models need looking at too?
  4. I have been searching around other weather forecast sites and mostly found anything from drizzle to heavy rain for my location not really any mention of the T word let alone 'severe'. Will get up early tomorrow though, just in case. No doubt my magpie alarm will wake me again, hopefully it will get struck by lightening
  5. Chilli but bright and sunny start here this morning, currently 8.9c. According to my local BBC weather there is only a risk of thunder storms here tomorrow but very wet.
  6. Only grapefruit sized, tsk. This Armageddon weather is likely to cause toys out of prams and dummy's all over the place if it doesn't happen, a lot of posting going on............. will it, wont it, not by your house but it will by my house, there will be tears before bedtime I tell you
  7. I believe so, I was working and couldn't get outside. Sheer torture as I could hear it all going on, like a kid in a sweet shop but not allowed to eat the sweets.
  8. I am delaying my journey to Shropshire until Saturday and hopefully I can incorporate a chase on the way
  9. Some people only pick up on a certain word in a forecast, like it is getting warmer this weekend, they don't listen to the detail like us weather freaks. Its the same in winter when snow is forecast for the Scottish mountains, they hear 'snow' and dash out and buy snow shovels and soup when they live as far as you can get from the Highlands
  10. That's what he said, 'nasty'........ I get told by some that I am a misery when I say there are storms on the way, it's like Christmas can't wait for it all to start happening. I missed the storms here on Merseyside the other week, hopefully Saturday will deliver
  11. yes it went all funny, pages not complete etc, thought it was me Just watched the latest forecast on the Beeb, 'some nasty thunderstorms for Saturday'
  12. What time do you have this f5 booked for? might need to put my washing out on Saturday it would be good drying weather. Currently 14c here, breezy overcast and dry
  13. Been shopping, stocked up on emergency supplies, couldn't get a snow shovel anywhere ................do you think I should at least put tape on my windows in case they get blown in
  14. My other half is having problems cutting the silage with the rain they've had down in Shrewsbury, if they don't get it all cut in the next day or so it wont be that good, then it delays the 2nd cut, and now the tractor has packed in!
  15. The fastest lawn mowerer in the North West.....................rain just starting here, currently 15.2c, overcast and clouds getting darker. At least my grass is short now and wont need doing for a while in anticipation of the worst hailstorms, tornadoes and monsoons that are predicted in the next few days
  16. Arr 'ey was just building myself up to go out and cut the lawn, popped my head out no rain here yet...............must dash
  17. Dry here at the moment, lots of scattered cloud but the sun is breaking through occasionally, currently 14.8c.
  18. Thanks for that video SP its about the only glimpse I have seen of the storm. Hoping for some more of the same tonight and tomorrow to make up for it
  19. Had a cracking storm over Merseyside about 8/9 o'clock this evening, gutted as I was working and couldn't get outside long enough to watch. What's the chances of more for over night here. Looked on radar but the ones in North Wales seem too far west of me for a hit
  20. It was FAB wasn't it Miamay, I was working so could only hear the rain and the thunder it was like being tortured because I couldn't run outside and watch, friends and family where texting me to tell me how great it was and I couldn't witness it
  21. Temp up to 27.9c now in my garden, breezy and some large convective clouds building up out towards the River Mersey/Irish sea area
  22. I am exactly the same, constantly checking every window for further development. Need an excuse not to go back to work now don't want to miss anything
  23. Currently 27.1c here in the sun, lots of cloud building, fingers crossed for later.
  24. The heavy showers didn't really materialise here today, lots of warm sunny spells, registered 19c at one point. The wind did pick up about lunch time but died off later this afternoon, a very pleasant day in all
