    OK bit secondhand but having just spoken to my mum confirms huge clap of thunder and downpour just after 1pm in Canterbury, guess thats what you heard thunderstrike.

    Driven through various heavy rain storms from Stansted back to Kent, finishing with flashes of lightning just outside of Canterbury 5 mins from home at 6.15

    Dark clouds have just passed over, odd bit of blue sky amongst the cloud. Not getting a reading from outside sensor, but not as warm as has been lately.

    Had a torrential downpour this evening. Roads were running with rain water. A few rumbles were heard before the downpour started. ES very much enjoyed it also.

    Had lightning here just after midnight for 10 to 15 mins, couldn't hear any thunder over the noise of the torrential rain was getting at time.

    Temp now 22.7c, very sticky and close feeling. max shows as being exactly 30c today. Indoors its unbearable 25c !!
