  1. I told you kold earlier that we will see a upgrade the bbc and meto cannot forecast what there having for dinner let alone snow.
  2. Based on the radar only and not the pony bbc i am going to make a guess of totals: Se London - 1-3cms Central London - 1-3cms North West London - 2-5cms South West London - 2-5cms
  3. Its not really unexpected though is it Kold. We have seen the forecasts that state nw london sw london w london to see a few cms tonight maybe more if we see a further shift east.
  4. As i said last evening expect the band to shift 50-75 miles east. I think those in nw-sw-w- London are sitting pretty at the moment. Could also see more of a shift after the GFS & UKMO come out and then its down to the radar.
  5. I still am looking at a line from Stevenage South to see between 2-6cms from tonights event. And we still cannot rule out a slight shift east which will bring eastern areas into play.
  6. With ESS snow map there I am on the borderline between the heavy and light snow band I think this may swing a tad further south east 50 miles can make all the diffrence and the wind direction backing behind the band is favourable for a slight shift se time will tell though my friends
  7. Link to Mr Cockrofts forecast here guys & gals http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2643743 I personally found that a very contradicting forecast he mentioned significant snow to the west of London and showed sw - nw london getting hit hard for around 2 hours then light snow. I define significant snow as a totally covered area of white on that map for a period of 4-5 hours +.
  8. Evening all Just got in and what a night so far ay this present time we have around 9cms here in morden surrey and even though the main roads was gritted twice the snow has settled on main roads currently 50p flakes falling fast here's hoping to squeze another 5cms out of this event
  9. Very heavy snow now falling in morden have over a cm or two atm off out now for dinner and drinks will be back at 11pm stay safe
  10. Look at the 19:00 radar from the meto this band still stemming in the Atlantic just of the west coast. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/uk/em/em_latest_radar.html
  11. Have a very healthy covering here in Morden Surrey with very light flakes falling atm.
  12. Light snow here in wimbledon surrey settleing on everything
  13. -5.8c here in Raynes Park area funny enough feel the cold more now than the past two nights must be some dampness in the air.
  14. Yamkin is currently in a emergency COBRA meeting with the government discussing the 4 foot of snow tomorrow night. Speaking of ramps where is mr crazy snowman from luton? What radar is everyone using?
  15. Good luck all you guys to the extreme se tonight if you get up early enough you maybe be able to grab a few snaps to quench our thirst before tomorrow night!!
  16. What a night we are in store for tomorrow!! A night where i made arrangements a month ago to go for a nice Chinese and clubbing following all kicking off from seven. Me thinks its going to end up cancelled hopefully.
  17. You can never tell until the event starts john. 2009 a prime example i was expecting around 3 inches from a marginal situation snow continued for hours and ended up with a foot. You can never tell its all about watching the radar.
  18. Is that going by the latest nae though? I heard there was a slight delay of the system that is good news in my mind gives the temps to drop and offers us that little bit more insurance. i think i will stick about slightly longer say 7-11 hours i agree heavy stuff about 4-8 hours.
  19. Underestimating John i would say we can double that in sweet spots. If the bbc made a forecast stating 10-40cms in the capital there would be chaos. The way they see it they have warned of snow = they have done their job.
  20. Only just got in from work can anyone post a link to the bbc London forecast with peter cockroach?
  21. lool you mean eastbourne coast i.e. 'Come to Pa Pa!' either way in this situaion i am sitting preety confident of snow in my ends. cigies and vodie n red bull at ready!
  22. I think all this talk about rain is nonsense tbh We are likley to see a snow event proceeded by rain for western england also northwestern areas where the milder air will mix out the cold air eventually. Southern and eastern england in my mind will see a snow only event with inland areas away from the extreme coasts a given. Remember that the forcast states cold hanging on in east and south esat england even after the event has passed .
