I do not know about that Paul. In my mind and looking at the radar it was looking good for that line out at sea but as soon as it reached the UK it seems to have lost intensity and got a lot smaller.

I cannot see this turning a NW route though harry. We may get some activity from that second line which is SW to the main band but as for Frenchie it think she is heading for the eastern sea. With Any action confined to the deep SE.

Actually scrap the last post it seems to have made a nose dive even further NE game over me thinks night all. I just feel sorry for those who have traveled down deep south to see this what a let down. But that is the weather for you.

Maybe Nick F if he is about can shine some light of why the sudden dive NE wards has occurred and if it is to take a north west wards track in the next few hours. May be wishful thinking on my part though.

Hmmm not so convinced now i have just checked the last three hours meto rainfall radar the line of a band that is more sw to the main band seems to be loosing its intensity as it approaches landfall. And the main band coming up from France has taken a big dive NE wards. Judging by this at the moment i would say it will be lucky to clip the furthest SE coast. I hope i am wrong on this but i get that feeling.

On another note anyone know why it is raining here in SW London radar not showing nothing yet? Could it be something to do with the instability in the air? If so that seems good for later.

Evening all. Just to report in steady rain now falling in SW London. Looking good for me here tonight well within the general risk line. But as always the general rule though is that it will come down to now cast situation yes the rain will no doubt be coming but its going to be so hard to pin down where the embedded TS are going to hit. Here is hoping we all get a slice and stay safe.

Hi That has been the problem over the past two weeks when the potential has been there four days out and we hope we have been let down as it gets into the reliable time frame. We will see about later on this week but it may be the case again of close but no cigar.

very heavy here in morden been going for about a hour now maybe the outer bands approaching the river at the back off me is already over flowing so dont look good here. hopefully this will all be over hyped drains also has took a pounding over the last 5 days.

I do not think we should be talking about possible cold weather at the moment. Its the weekend that worries me this potential 'Bomb' off a very deep low pressure system that is originating from a very unusual place and could potentially give the south east a direct hit. After all the rain we have had over the past 5 days and already the river down the back off me is very high i fear the worst and hope to god that we miss this system all together because if it does happen then there's no doubt that there will be severe flooding and there is no doubt that there will be very high wind speeds.

Never said you did but the point i am trying to make is that unless a rouge 5 minute light snow shower which will not produce in terms off settling floats your boat. Then may as well turn in see my point?

Im not too sure yamkin most showers are either moving just south off us or fading before they hit us which gives a few flakes cannot see anything to big about to hit us tbh mate.

I thought this snow event was for the kent area here i am in Lower Morden Surrey and just had a very heavy shower and just touching a cm if theres any experienced members on here can i ask if this could be a more widespread event or was it just a 1 off shower?

I don't think its the easterly that's looking fragile Kold. I actually think the reason for such differences in the models is simply because the amount off blocking that is happening and going to happen over the next few days. Also other factors to bring in to the frame is where is the hp going to position itself. Lots off factors to come together over the next few days and i for one believe the models are struggling to programme everything i mean when have was the last time we seen this amount off blocking developing? I would not be surprised to see the easterly to disappear and reappear within 24-48 hours.
