Well, latest Rob McElwee forecast shows heavier precipitation on Sunday. His earlier forecast showed it much lighter. They clearly havent got a clue, and before anyone says it, im not looking at each forecast for detail. Will have to wait till the day, as usual.
The Beeb are struggling. I get my weather updates on here as they are more reliable. :o

Got another nice dusting so far tonight and some nice larger flakes in there as well too
Glad you have had a bit more. Very quiet over here since this morning but temps at -6

i am new here wish people would talk to me here
Hello and welcome:) I am new too only being on here for a couple of weeks. Come on peoples, say hello!

Right here is what the NMM suggests. By the way Neil lose the attitude otherwise I won't bother sharing the info. You have to realise NW extra is subscription based and it wouldn't be fair on Paul to be constantly posting these charts.
What the NMM shows for early tomorrow morning is a line of snow showers into Kent, coastal strip of E Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex. Now during the morning into the afternoon a band of snow showers hit NE England moving into Lincs. Within our region the snow showers start to affect inland parts of Essex, Norfolk, Suffolk, Kent, Cambs. During Friday night the snow showers continue and we even see the snow showers around the Wash penetrate far inland to SW parts of our region.
Thank you very much TEITS.

Just posted this in the model thread but thought it worth adding here too:
The 12Z GFS snow risk charts show a lessening of the risk for all of the south as the ppn feature comes in on Sunday. All the 90%+ figures are replaced with 60-70% ones. All those nice purples are replaced by oranges! Is this is a sign of possible marginality due to slightly higher upper temps?
I have got a gut feeling that that horrible word "sleet" is going to start appearing in forecasts for Sunday, especially for areas near the coast.
Hope I'm wrong.....................
Thats worrying. In North Norfolk so might be ok here.

Well another amazing day of this winter here, heavy snowfall here this morning, which gave a good dumping. Snowing again this evening and absolutely no sign of a credible breakdown in sight - great stuff!
I do love these 'cold and dry' and 'marginal' situations!!
Well done. Here in the North we had heavy snow this morning but little else since. Fingers crossed tonight.

Anyone in Norfolk that has been as frustrated with the amount of snowfall so far? Seems like we were set up for a exceptional day with the morning snow, but it looks like it will end with only a few showers over the next 48 hours. Still will see what local weather says.
-
Showers still feeding into Norfolk and the Wash. I might get lucky yet.
-
Just seen N24 weather. Nothing of note in Norfolk until Sunday and even then its dodgy. I have problems believing that this will happen as Philip Avery says. Any thoughts on this?
-
Showers continuing to feed in to North Norfolk and the Wash. Any chance these will get more organised and produce some big snowfall?
-
Hope Norfolk is going to get hammered over the weekend. Would be nice to get some good totals.
-
You need very strong wind for it to be a blizzard. It's not just heavy snow.
Any wind?
It was a short-lived affair but the wind reallly picked up for a while.
-
Blizzard conditions in Fakenham now
-
Amazing to see the line of showers that have formed which are heading in land via Kings Lynn
Yeah it looks good. I am in Fakenham so might get lucky soon.
-
Where's that come from? forecast or wishful thinking?
I am dreaming my friend. I will be happy with anything at the weekend to be honest.
-
No more negativity from me. Norfolk will have 3ft of snow by Sunday night! :cold:
-
Too right can't see anything further coming from this massive downgrade for Norfolk and can't believe that the weekend will provide either, by sunset we'll be largely snow free on the ground it's melting that fast
Ah well. Will keep my eye on here in case things change over the weekend.
-
god you lot are a bunch of pesmists arent you
No, realists. It is 5 degrees in the sun here and the lying snow is melting. Cannot see the weekend being up to much here in Norfolk IMO.
-
Very little snow to come in Norfolk over the next 24 hours and a slight thaw Tomorrow at 2 degrees according to BBC. Was hoping for a dumping of snow over the weekend but not too hopeful now.
-
Hello. After heavy snow here in North Norfolk this morning it has gone really quiet. Is there any chance the showers will become heavier and frequent this afternoon?
-
Is this it now or is this supposed to get worse because if not then once again somewhere in "the firing line" and prime location is going to get nothing, looking at the radar there doesn't seem to be anything other than a few patters here and there
I think we have had the lot for today. Like you I cannot see much coming down now from the North Sea. I hope I am wrong though.
-
Heavy snow at Fakenham now and has been for over a hour now. Blizzards outside here.:cold:
-
Good morning. Nice dump of snow now in Fakenham.::Could be a interesting day I think.
-
Well BBC 1 clearly showed snow over North Norfolk and so did Look East
Goes to show they have no agreement, they are hopeless. Had any snow in Cley?
