Just saw BBC news 24 and no snow for EA Saturday:wallbash: What gives? Do the BBC know something different?
-

Just watched Look East and it reckons snow showers for me tomorrow, but the met office site says sunny and it was allegedly updated at 19.01
Need to give my daughter advice on travelling and not sure what to say
Any ideas?
Cheers
You are more likely to get snow Tomorrow in your area. Somebody else on here would be able to give you a better forecast though.
-
According to the hi res nnm charts you could get snow from 10pm tonight till about 3am then from 8am you are at risk of some snow from the low moving in off the continent. Hope this helps and hope i am right. lol
Thanks for the update. Better brace ourselves then.

Hiya, I think tomorrow will be worse than that, NNR are probably underplaying it. From what I've seen on the forecast maps, there'll be something coming through early morning, clearing a bit after that ( which will be the light showers) then something more than that coming in later from the East.
From my perspective I'd like that forecast to be right as I'm in london today and have to drive back tomorrow
Thank you. I thought the local might be wrong. You drive safely.

Is confidence strong for EA overnight and Tomorrow or will we miss out? I live in North Norfolk. My local radio station say a few showers with the occasional one heavy. Thought I would get the real deal from you guys.
-
Evening all <_< Well live in Fakenham and no snow again. Surely we will get some soon off this North Easterly? Any news on this?
-
Good morning. How is it looking for Norfolk today? Will we get any snow?
-
Watched Alex Deakin and there was a bit of a downgrade for EA. Snow flurries yes but not heavy snow. Mind you it is the BBC though. Still think EA will be hit hard over the next few days.:o
-
There is a hint of some marginality near the coast of EA tomorrow which could make any PPN a bit sleety at times.
Does that risk still apply on the possible events on Thur/Fri/Weekend or will the air be even colder then so it will all be snow?
Anyone "in the know" got any views on this?
Not sure about Tomorrow in EA but it is defo going to get colder especially with the NEasterly coming in. Don't expect daytime temps to get above -2. My weather station trends say snow as the outlook. Everything is in place for a good bit of snow Wednesday night onwards. Thats my tuppence worth.
-
i agree..getting fed up now..dont reckon hardly get any this week ahhhhhhh
It will snow sometime Tomorrow evening, then the fun will start until Saturday at least (hopefully)
-
Trust me its on its way to you guys!
Norfolk just waits and hopes . . . . . .and hopes . .
-
But it seems to circle right round us, its ridiculous!! We will probably be the only area in the whole of the UK to miss out from this :o
Travelling from North Norfolk to Ely Tomorrow and according to local and national (BBC) should be ok. Hope it does not snow in these areas as the trip will be a nightmare.:o:)
-
Any news on how Norfolk will fare Tonight/Tomorrow please?
-
morning all looking good for us soon plus something else to wet your lips its seems our saterday event back on!!!
Yep, Saturday looks interesting.
-
Had a look at the latest radar and the track seems to be SE now missing the Midlands. EA and the SE might be lucky after all.
-
Good morning all. Had a dusting of snow overnight here and the local forecast is for more snow today. Not sure how this fits in with the direction of the snow belt that is aproaching from the north. Minus 3 here too and a little cloudy from what I could see.:)
-
Please don't shout me down but I have been watching the Models with horror. Now that they have downgraded Snow I am quite happy.[when the "storm" looked likely I nearly had a fit]
I have to take a friend to Hosp on Thurs and my Dad to Hosp for an operation on Friday.........just the thought of getting him home in thick snow filled me with dread!!
After Saturday it can Snow as much as it likes!!
First time I have ever asked for a downgrade, and I got one. lol
Sorry for everyone who was hoping to be snowed in by Thurs. Honest!
I too have a hospital appointment Saturday so I am pleased that the weather seems to have changed for Norfolk. Driving in a snowstorm is no fun. It can snow on Sunday though.
-
Unfortunately for us in the home counties/south east/EA the agreement from all the models is for it to go west. The GFS earlier was out on a limb in sending it East anyway.
Yep, I think you are right. The weather is not coming from the North East which would bring in the showers. Still hopeful for Wed though (according to BBC if you can believe them)<_< I am from North Norfolk.
-
I am confused. Jay Wynn on News 24 has said that all the snow will affect the midlands and the south, moving WEST not East in to Devon. And EA will get hit on Wed and Thur. Who do you believe? At this rate someone will get it right.
-
Feeling a bit of a plonker now as I have been saying to friends that Norfolk is going to get hit hard. Ho Hum, maybe not now. Any chance the snow belt we do a loop and cross Suffolk/Norfolk?:huh:
-
Looks like I will be able to travel from Fakenham to Ely on Wednesday now with little trouble.
-
Well what a change! Might get a dusting this week though. Does not look too good for a load of snow here this week.<_<
-
Good afternoon everybody. Looking good then for my neck of the woods in North Norfolk then?
