  1. Bit further west than you and it is still light snow here. Hoping it gets a bit heavier and keeps going. Very windy with the lying snow being whipped up into drifts.
  2. Four hours and 3" of snow in the far east of the region last night - caught the sweet spot of a Thames streamer. It has been snowing moderately this morning for an hour or so. Blowing around, drifting and scouring in the wind. A brilliant period and more to come.
  3. Moderate snow here in the far west of the region. After a 4 hour spell of snow yesterday evening/night, there is drifting and scouring from the wind. Pretty localised as I understand but an outstanding period in my locale.
  4. No, my son is due to fly from there tomorrow morning. Would love for you to get some snow...but I also hope his flight isn't cancelled. Streamers are funny things! It has been snowing in north Hamshire for a few hours - probably an extra couple of inches so far
  5. Good to hear that it's still snowing 'upstream' from me. Still chucking it down here and by the sounds of it, could continue for a while yet. Totally unexpected and brilliant. They need to move the red warning down here.
  6. Yes, making it's way all the way to north Hampshire. Been several showers over the last few hours. Snowing moderately at the moment.
  7. Stranger still. A string of heavy, if short-lived, showers passing through Odiham. Very heavy at the moment and drifting in the wind. the small areas of green have now gone white again.
  8. Strange. Just down the road from you in Odiham there was a snowfall of approx. 2cm yesterday late afternoon. Still a complete layer in the garden - no significant melt.
  9. The snow is stopping now, but every flake is landing and sticking on every surface. I would describe it as a very light dusting at the moment.
  10. Light snow shower here in north east Hampshire. I hope this is the first of many over the next few days and that we get at least a covering at some point. However, I fear that a few flurries here and there is all that we get before Thursday evening.
  11. Let's hope so. Should at least have a covering of snow on the eastern side of the country soon. Keep an eye out for Baltic ice increases,
  12. Getting the distinct feeling that this will be a predominantly snowless period for central southern England. Looks like a few flurries Mon/Tues/Wed, but nothing substantial, and then the low pressure area later in the week passing just too far to the south. Reminds me very much of March 2013 when it was very cold but almost totally dry.
  13. Very warm weather due to hit North America - probably because of SSW. Winter is over.
  14. Yes Katrine. The Baltic Sea could see big increases over the next couple of weeks.
  15. A long shot, but there could be some new day records set in the middle of the month.11th, 18th, 19th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd all possible.
  16. Thanks Katrine. Keep the reports coming. Looks like the next few weeks we will bring big increases in snow in northern Europe and ice in the Baltic Sea.
  17. Exactly Optimus. My great love is snow, but it's been an exceptional period of weather in central southern England. A series of very cold nights (minimums between -5 and -8) and temperatures no higher than 5c during the day - and sometimes much lower. All the ponds and lakes in this area are properly frozen - the canal at the end of my lane is frozen from bank to bank for the first time in the 24 years I've lived here.
