  1. Banter, Moans and Ramps. Don't take everything so seriously - it's just banter. Although I defend your right to moan.
  2. My attempt at humour may have failed, but your attempt at being dull has certainly succeeded.
  3. I've never been a great one for friends. What I want is snow, and if Steve Murr can't deliver it then I reserve the right to be upset.
  4. pYour response is illeterate. Are you agreeing with me?
  5. Quite depressing really. People like me would like to think the the likes of Steve Murr and Nick Sussex have a good idea of what's going on, but the truth is that they don't. It's going to rain for most of us.
  6. Looks like it will be cold wet and miserable for most of us from mid next week. Some snow up north and at higher elevations but no real sustained wintery blast. Met Office have obviously got more information at their disposal than the NW big guns and that's why they seem pretty sure about westerlies returning by the end of next week.
  7. Well done March Blizzard - you really are great. I noticed you've guessed 10.3 for October. I think you're run of luck is just about to end in a spectacular failure.
  8. It may be fair enough that the IPCC dismiss the 15 year pause in rising temperature as a blip. Perhaps this question should be asked - if the pause continues, after how many years would the blip be no longer considered temporary and therefore the current theories of further anthropogenic global warming have to be questioned?
  9. Very much enjoying your posts BFTV, both here and elsewhere. I hope JH uses the pm facility if he has issues with you.
  10. I took a punt at 6.3 (post no.64). I don't think that this has been included in the table of predictions. Could someone include this in the table please.
  11. Light snow for the last 30 mins here with the odd moderate burst. Not going to settle here but I expect somewhere will get a covering or a proper dusting at least.
  12. Pretty sure that the Met Office rarely use the CET. They mostly use the UK wide figures going back to 1910 and then split it out by country. Don't think that there is any conspiracy here.
  13. This is not the official CET. it is Philip Eden's version (Manley). The official one (Hadley) is out later today, unless the powers that be decide to make some adjustments.
  14. Please keep these coming Polar. Looks like there could be further gains in the Baltic and on our side of the Arctic generally. Thanks.
  15. Snow now more or less stopped here in north-east Hampshire. Between 2 and 10cm lying depending on elevation. Big surprise and not bad for late March. Been a good/very good winter in this part of the world.
