    It does seem that is the case. But history shows us in past severe winters that mild spells occur then E's or NE's can set back in soon after. I anticipate this will happen particularly in Feb and March.

    I think that's a reasonable assumption. There seems to be two large bands over Germany at the moment. I think the second band has our name on it. Albeit light PPN. I cannot see where else (what the Met are forecasting) it could be coming from.

    Cynical posts like that are best ignored. The majority here respect members weather reports judgements with a bit of humour thrown in. If you want "professional forecasts" leave the forum and refer to the national media channels. Enough said.

    RM on N24 just said only light snowfall for most of southern Britain all Sunday and Monday.
