  1. Better than that I think. 75/25. The wind coming off the sea is not the issue this time.
  2. I was sure last time that we would only see rain. This time I think we have more chance. Going to far west is the current issue.
  3. Great reading all the reports. Love the ones that say level snow of 4cm and in drifts 8cm. 4 cm drifts(very funny). Enjoy all those that had snow. I am off to play golf. Not even winter greens.
  4. It is chucking down with rain here. If this is snow for you guys, then you are in for a fun evening and night.
  5. Raining and it wont improve. Please dont tell me it may. Nothing to indicate it will but I am not down about it. But as I say for you guys in a better locations, enjoy.
  6. If those charts come off, then this event today will be forgoten pretty quick. Not hard to forget if you live this close to the sea tho. For you guys further north and east enjoy.
  7. If its rain for you, then cheer yourself up and have a look at the GFS and surprisingly UKMO. Looking good.
  8. I don't think it will make much difference for down here. The wind coming off the sea will push the relevant temps to the wrong side. But we live in hope. Dont think we will have to drive to far N/E to see some snow in the morning tho.
  9. The shift west is small. Still a step in the right direction for many.
  10. The one thing that isn't being spoken about but is arguably more dangerous than snow is rain hitting frozen surfaces. Although this will be a relatively short period of time, it could be a real problem. Snow you can see, Ice is more difficult. So if it starts as rain in your area then be mindful of this until the cold is out the ground.

  12. For once I find myself agreeing with what they have forecast. Yesterday I could see your location being a Snow only event but it does look more like snow to rain now. Down here it will be rain from start to finish. The problem is the wind direction. The other problem is the speed it is moving. Again yesterday it was modeled to move slower but this morning it is modeled to move through faster.
  13. It will be interesting to watch this unfold. Need a thread for guess the most westerly place that gets snow only. I would guess at Milton Keynes.
  14. Dont think you are. Good forecast. Sea is an issue down here. Need a front to come from the east with a N/E wind for snow to have a chance down here. For those in the favoured areas, enjoy and post some pics.
  15. Why would anyone spend £50 to find out if it was going to snow on your head? :p
  16. Its called a cover your backside warning. Must not be so cynical,Must not be so cynical,Must not be so cynical!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. You will be able to tell from the weather pref that this could well be the worst weather type for me. The good news is, that it will arrive during the night and I will be able to sleep through it rather than looking out the window at heavy rain thinking why could this not have been snow. However the reality is I won't be able to sleep until I have seen that its rain just in case! Its at times like this when I wonder why I moved from the North Cotswold to Bournemouth.
  18. I agree with most of the Map but I think the N/E will get a bit more than you have indicated.
  19. You are in a good spot to my mind. You are not going to get the definitive answer you crave. I would go do something else for awhile and look again at 7ish. By then we will have had the 12z and be more confident to predict the outcome. Even then it is subject to change. Dec 2010 Meto issued RED warning for dorset for an event that was due to hit in less than six hours. What happened? It made a semi circle round us and west, North and east got 8-12 inches. We got about 1 cm. Still I am over it now!!!!!
