  1. Small flakes means is very cold uppers, it has to warm up slightly for bigger flakes Small flakes has more density to it, it blows off roof easier.
  2. Nowcast.....It's at frezing point on the coast...0.1c...been like that for hours...dew point is -1.9 wind is brisk north east Heavy swizzle causing poor visibility . Side roads are poor ,main roads looks like the grit is working
  3. remember snizzle is just heavy drizzle ...if this low has heavy rain then we would have blizzards..no one reported of blizzards
  4. got some now chell...started two hours after you..only light but covering cars...its them new windmills they are taking the energy out of the sky
  5. take a look at tje saterlite if you want to see the extent of cloud
  6. just got some now..small but heavy flakes...but was 2 hours after radar showed it over us...must be very high clouds..ha..ha
  7. hang on the wrapper is off i can see a flake ..may be it takes an hour to reach the ground
  8. the radar is wrong...been over me for a hour and still not a flake.
  9. if it gets to us..there will be big drifting as the wind off the coast is strong
  10. been looking for the first flake all week...might be a cadburys one again
  11. Gary...if you take a look at the charts on that site you will see how the secondary low forms on sunday
  12. Agh...I now see what's going to happen,as the low tracks east across Southern Europe a secondary low forms to the north, and it's this one that's going to head our way, and then as this moves north a reload on monday/Tuesday hits us again
  13. Looking on the Europe saterllite, its rather confusing, the rotation of the low is anti clockwise, and the driving low is sinking towards the med coasts. There is a big overspill of cloud but if this continues then the low will track east and not north as is forecast...any one have any views on this ????
  14. Hope some of you just watched, the big freeze of 1963 on bbc2..you can still watch it on catch up t.v.
