  1. A few spots here at the moment, but it is of rain, getting to warm now for snow flurries. .on the clacton coast
  2. I dont post on here often, but after following this thread the last few weeks Iam puzzled to see the model output struggles to come right on a cold spell, but gets it right on the mild side. Maybe one day it will get the cold spell spot on ???
  3. Take a look at the Snow risk chart for 18th January. If this comes off, it will be full stop U.K.

  9. 73 mph gust reported at St Marys in Cornwall. Heathrow reporting 38mph winds at the moment. Drizzle here and just had some bigger gusts
  10. Presure dropping fast here now in clacton, just a few spots of rain, and the wind is just starting to gust. think mid day onwards as forecast will be the starting time.

  13. Home next to mine has just lost his dustbin, silly man, I put ours in the shed, ....just had our biggest gust, small forest near me is helping by shielding the wind, turpines still all turned off,
  14. Big branch ripped of tree near me, all turbines now stopped, just had the biggest gust so far,, birds using it , never see birds fly so fast
  15. 5 wind turbines near me, three have just been stopped, next two hours is worrying here as I am rural and live in a parkhome
  16. On Essex coast, wind picking up in gusts, and they have just turned the wind turbines off
  17. Keep dreaming Lads/Girls. There is No sign of a winter blast ..The weaather from mid week will be coming from our Mr Atlantic. Damp and mild winds.. EXPRESS = Scaremongering I am affraid. Not worth the Ink...or the money.
  18. Snowing here..Clacton.....very grainy at first but some larger flakes now...settling on grass and cars...hope this is winters final fling..I start out door bowling next week end
  19. Bet you don't have them in your face like I have...600 meters away, sitting in my lounge I can. See them all day, if we did not have night, I would say 24/7...why should they be on land, we already have over 100 off shore, but they don't count as they are outside the county boundary
