    Think the general idea it will stall further south from your location and push away E/SE. And there is warning out for your area until Wednesday.

    Some of you might hate me, but I hate wet snow as Ian has mentioned in his blog. This is why i was so disspointed with Sundays forecast cock up. That day was supposed to be powder snow (something rare here) and strong easterly winds blowing it around. Think the strong wind (hopefully) will make things stick rather than blow around. I know im fussy, but i base all my snow events on Feb 91, something IMBY not beaten.

    Just seen Richards BBC online forcast for Bristol, quite widespread snow. Starting off around 14.00 for Bristol and intensifying into the night through wednesday morning. Hope they dont get this wrong! I really really hope the wind picks up as forecast.

    Plenty of rain for Cornwall, Devon. Snow further NE, rain around all coasts north Devon, South Coast. This is a marginal event. Not sure if the heavy PPN to reach Gloucester. I would prefer the whole lot to miss and head into northern France and give us more chance of prolonging the cold spell. I know where i live there is a good chance of snow, but i hate wet snow that dosent stick and gets washed away as it turns to rain.

    Cant see snow on the south coast, just cant. Light rain and drizzle I think.

    Anyone noticed how dead it is in the model output thread because this is a SW event. I can see lots of rain over cornwall and parts of Devon (except high ground) and snow into somerset as it pushes N/NE and hopefully stalling.

    Lots of optimism in the Model Output thread with the latest ECM. Cold not really going anywhere, just a slightly milder interlude. "Interlude" being the word.

    Been out all day so not a clue whats going on with the models today etc. But all can i say for is THAW! Sudden thaw today, quite out of the blue really.... Can anyone explain to me what happend last night weather wise?

    Thaw started. Roof dripping. Complete let down today. Wasnt expecting much snow..but was expecting a strong E wind and cold temps.

    Is ICEBURG about for an update? Im coming back later when some more model output has come out. Last night the models were showing a continuation of the cold now a different output again.

    Amazing BBC forecast! Complete turn around on everything... Higher temps... Rain around coasts.. Hardly any snow... Night temps much higher... Last night all the above were oposite! And once again completer confusion, arguements, and disagrement in the model output thread! Im underneath it on the radar..very very light.

    Looks like most of the PPN going north for tomorrow.

    Cant see much but the odd flurry tomorrow. Then by 19.00 nothing, thought it was going to last into Monday? Maybe they havent a clue??? As for next week dont think anyone has a clue. Temps tomorrow i reckon on the coast will reach 3 degrees.
