  1. Tuesday now is the break down is it? Ive heard so many variations today on this break down... the main players on this forum TEITS and S.Murr have made no comment on the current output, i reckon they are fed up with the constant ups and downs on this forum.
  2. I think the models can be summed up by "chop and change" Tomorrow things will probably change again, as the models have the last couple of days.
  3. Total confusion in the Model output thread my god!! Snow here
  4. On the NWR those showers to the NE are really moving SW at speed.
  5. M.O.T "Big downgrade in precipitation on the 12z??? "
  6. Please, forget i mentioned it. People have seen better more promising later forecasts.
  7. Fair play.....i just caused a huge panic here...lol
  8. She says at the end...dry further north and west. Dont kill the messenger. http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/3
  9. Just seen it online. It was the 1.00pm forecast. Her words not mine, just reporting what she said.
  10. National forecast for sunday. No snow for the west, dry and bright. SE event.
  11. Exactly, its above freezing on the coast. A few miles inland and a couple of degrees below freezing.
  12. Interesting changes in the METO, maybe they are now getting a grip on whats going to happen. Just been out and about to meet my other half for lunch in Portishead...and i was very supprised.. In my location in Yatton we still have about 5 inches of lying snow with no thaw today. As i travelled to Clevedon the snow started to disappear! Then onto Portishead it had nearly all gone on the roads and pavements! Where the snow had not melted in the shade in car parks it was easy to see how deep the snow was...no more than two inches at best. I think Portishead had more lying snow pre christmas around the 20th due to convection off the Bristol Channel. The thaw has really begun in those locations today. My point is that coastal towns it this sort of weather setup are so much warmer than places a few miles inland. Right now the wind is really picking up...
  13. Is that sentance correct? I thought the GFS had been showing a break down the last couple of days and the ECM was showing the continuation of the cold? EDIT: SORRY, NOW I GET WHAT YOU MEAN!! FORGET THAT
  14. Total confusion here today. Nobody got a clue what the models are showing. last night it was snow for sunday and monday, now maybe not. Also sunddenly a cold breakdown early next week. Last night people were saying the cold is here to stay..........what is going on?? Cant wait for an Ian update. BBC local........"more snow Sunday"
  15. Complete and utter confusion for a newbie here guys! Last night you were all saying more cold to come, definately into next weekend etc etc Now suddenly its all over..... Anyone really know what the models are showing??
  16. Just seen the Sky forecast!!!!!!! She has not got a clue what she is on about....lol She said, and i quote "Sunny sunshine" But she is FIT!
  17. If you have Sky TV. Press the red button for the forecast. EDIT. on sky news channel
  18. Lets keep our feet on the ground. Remember the sudden turn around on Monday showing yesterdays snow. Lets wait a little longer I think. Would love the potent eastly currently being modeled, its so rare to get a proper easterly....not NE or SE...but East straight from the continant.
  19. Sun getting to work on the snow now. Thaw in the sun, but only a little today i think.
  20. Thanks for the chart. There is some doubt on the amount of PPN. But if we got very cold air, and three or four days of light snow i would be happy.
  21. Morning Iceburg. This weekends event is feeding very cold air and showers from europe right across the country, is that correct? Sounds a little like Feb 91.....if we get the very cold air.
  22. I think temps got up to +2 yesterday in places. Evening though its going to be sunny today i have a feeling it wont get above freezing. There was a slight thaw yesterday.... it would be amazing if the sun was out today and the temps stayed below 0. Keep looking at the roofs and gutters..no dripping yet!
  23. Amazing the low temps last night! Amazing how Plymouth is +3 !!!! Its mad how being on the south coast can effect temps.
