Any expert views on what to expect for Warwick/Leamington Spa?
Reading the comments etc. I would imagine this location is going to be marginal at best?
Thanks in advance

What's your elevation do you no ?
I'm 192 meters I think ! Anything above 100 to the north side of the front should be good , it's interesting because this ones so unpredictable , the euro4 has handled it very badly and really wouldn't be surprised to see changes on the 12z , I think the changes will only be one way and that's south . No way is this front getting into northern England . We can see the front sliding down the west side of the county and it looks like it's got 2 cores on it . And think its the southern core that's gonna flourish once it mixes with slightly warmer air and water ! Be great to see a southward movement on it !
In your view, how for North do you think this front will go - before heading back south?
Thanks

Working in Warwick this week, so may see some snow later this evening. As soon (if) the snow arrives I will get an industrial hair dryer and attempt to push it back to the South West for you guys....

I can see the radar building to the east again , it's massively intensified to the northwest , back building aswell, but I'm seeing signs of the whole to the east start to fill in , early days yet but it's on the way up again , I await the next few frames in earnest.
Sorry for a IMBY question, but would that also include the Frome area?? Cheers

Awesome weather, on way home from work, missus calls me, ome pick me up with, has our 3yr old son with her. Drive down in to frome, park up and let air out of tyres bar a little bit and drove back up north parade as bath st to steep, phew we made it back alright and lovely big snow flakes still chcuking it down must be 1 1/2 inch deep i reckon or more.
Guessing the main roads in Frome are getting bad then??
-
It's absolutely yacking down here.
If there's anyone local who's planning on going anywhere near Shepton Mallet via A37 or A3139 - CHANGE YOUR ROUTE! Hubby's just rung, he's been trying to get out of Shepton for the last half an hour, every way in and out is blocked solid with traffic, most of which is stuck, cars spinning around all over the place, nothing getting up the hills out of town or on the main roads.
Hi Jethro - just to follow this up, seen the following tweet from Ian F
Ian Fergusson â€@fergieweather
"@MrsSchust: @fergieweather @Bagpusspostgate Yes true, My husband is stuck on A37 & abandoned his car! A long trek home!"

Heavy snow in Frome at present, just had a lovely drive back from Bristol, snow started to get steadily heavier from Bath to Frome, all the main roads are still clear (circa 16:50),
-
Hi Prophecyman, Its now snowing quite heavy, top frome was more snow bottom was sleety but now changed and all snow and getting heavier, settling on exisiting snow but roads still clear but think if it gets heavier will settle on roads to.Very heavy band on radar to just coming to frome shortly.
Flakes small to medium at the moment, moderate snow, waiting for heavy burst to arrive.
cheers Fella, will be leaving Brizzle soon, so will hopefully join the party later on :-)
-
FAO Offerman, Fromey....... How's it looking in Frome at the moment, I'm in Brizzle at the moment,,

Does look good, bring it on :-)

Still snowing Wednesday morning for some in the north west of the region.
I posted this yesterday evening after looking at the 18z models....., seems to hang around for a while.....
"I might be reading these wrong, but looking at the GFS 18z it has snow (albeit light) IMBY (Frome) from Tuesday 6pm through to Thursday 3am!!!
Surely that can't be right??"
-
Looking at the charts, the assessment of 3-6 cm seems very low
Possibly a rain to snow event??? Although I'm only guessing :-)
-
Morning All, some snow overnight in Frome, possibly 1/1,5cms I would guess, looking forward to later this evening/overnight - hopefully another top up
