  1. Diurnal ranges have been increasing day on day ... Wednesday ; 13.8c, 2.4c up to 16.2c Thursday ; 14.4c, 2.9c up to 17.3c Friday ; 15.7c, 3.1c up to 18.8c Today ; 18.0c, 2.8c up to 20.8c Slight frost every morning and virtually unbroken sunshine each day with another similar (possibly greater diurnal range) day to come tomorrow.
  2. Today could bring the biggest diurnal range so far. Yesterday I had 2.8c then up to 18.3c .
  3. The forecaster on Points West this morning said there was less cloud than anticipated. Amusingly the lunchtime prediction has gone for more cloud tomorrow than today. I suppose it can't be bad if we in here and those in the model thread only have cloud amount discrepancies to discuss!
  4. I think sometimes it's easy to confuse the map showing Cirrus and assume it means fully cloudy. We have 100% Cirrus cover here but unbroken sunshine. It happens frequently under high pressure.
  5. Sometimes sitting in the middle is the best place, enjoying warm sunshine and views of spectacular CBs.
  6. Warmest day since 28th September with the max being 20.1c . I have been sat outside for an hour watching the crescent moon appear, altcas drift across and bats flitting around. Pleasant enough in t-shirt and shorts at dusk in March! Still 15.2c now!
  7. Highlights how hard it is to forecast exact frontal position as today even 10 miles will make a lot of difference. Warming up quickly now after sharp showers earlier with hazy sunshine and all manner of mid to high level clouds, 16.4c and feeling /looking plume like.
  8. Sounds plausible given the plume like set up. I'd say chances again tomorrow evening given the front will make a move East/North East.
  9. Thankfully the sun burned through around midday and we went from late winter to early summer in a few hours. From 5.1c at 11am to 16.3c around 2pm!
  10. Stunning weekend except the Easterly wind. Max of 17.2c yesterday which was the highest since 5th October. I filled the washing line and 2 airers under clear sky at 06.30, so who ordered the low cloud which has turned up now?
  11. I had hopes for the rain saying further South to allow a long walk with baby while washing dried on the line, however after a drizzly few hours it's now raining properly and looks set to last at least several hours!
  12. Beautifully clear and sunny, 6.7c after 2.9c minimum with a leafy pattern frost on the cars. Daddy day care is in full working order! Where the heck have the last 8 months gone?
  13. Interesting sat out in the garden for half an hour in warm sunshine watching low cloud encroaching from the SW and burning off time and time again before reaching overhead.
  14. Well I botched that up! It was still gloomy at 11.00 so decided to pop washing in the drier instead of on the line as thought it wouldn't burn off. Since midday we've had plenty of sunshine and 14c plus!
  15. Tuesday ; fine, Wednesday ; mostly grim, Today ; lovely, Tomorrow ; looks mostly grim, Saturday ; looks fine, Sunday ; looks grim. Every other day weather lol. Today was the warmest day since Halloween.
  16. Yes it's grim here too, the rain developed very quickly over the region after 06.30 .
  17. The area of thundery weather showed up on apps and forecasts approximately 50 miles further West than it has occurred.
  18. 4 almost identical days in a row of warm sector conditions, the only variances being how much blustery rain/drizzle and how many brighter spells. Quite often the brightest periods have coincided with the 'heaviest' rain.
  19. Absolutely spot on warm sector conditions for the Warminster area throughout today so far ; muggy and breezy with low cloud/mist/drizzle competing with bright sunny spells. 12.8c and rising under sunshine, an earlier sunny half hour boosted it to 13.6c but in between it was grim for an hour or so.
  20. Yes beautiful today, that's 3 out of 5 days! Much more sunshine than forecasts predicted and likely to be a pretty sunset in a few hours time given the Altocumulus and Cirrus.
  21. Hints of thundery activity in the morning, looking like being some heavy cells embedded in the front.
  22. Neither rain nor sunshine in Wiltshire, just a sheet of grey and a gentle cool breeze. Thank goodness we had yesterday's sun fest!! 6.6c .
