  1. We had hardly any sun yesterday. It’s misty and invizdriz this morning. But hey the sky was crystal clear from around 18.00-at least midnight!!!!!!
  2. There must be some flooding in the strip from around Exeter and NE to around Marlborough. Those areas have had several heavy bursts run along the same line in the last 4/5 hours and another now. Meanwhile just a few miles to the East it’s been showery but nothing more than a few mm.
  3. Having driven to and from Trowbridge this morning (as well as doing a few hours work) the sky is certainly fascinating.
  4. For a number of years now (and for a number of reasons) I do my outdoor work differently time wise in school holidays than during term time. This kind of forecast simply does not happen on the first day of such a situation! Looking forward to it!
  5. TammasinWhiskers it’s a very slow moving slack LOW pressure. The showers are moving anticlockwise round the LOW, like they’re in a spin cycle.
  6. Lol it’s clearing at dusk! Naturally! Been a few sunny spells today but nothing like how clear it is now! Plenty of showers throughout the day too.
  7. We haven’t actually done too badly for wet school runs this half term. This morning was only the 2nd wet morning in 24. There’s been a few more wettish afternoons though. That 2 week dry cold spell seems a lifetime ago!
  8. Not the merest hint of brightness all day but of course there are breaks in the cloud and stars shining now! Any chance that the gap between tomorrow’s rain bands might be clearer? Predicted drier timing of around 12-16.00 would be decent if brighter!
  9. Sunshine alert! Breaks in the cloud after a dull, windy morning with a few brief showers. The first bright sun since last Thursday! @mike5900 that blossom seems very early! Our cherry is budding.
  10. Blasted invizdriz again, infuriating! It was lovely and clear from just after sunset and into last night!
  11. Disgusting day, like yesterday, I swear it has drizzled nonstop since Friday evening. Obviously I can’t be sure but the wetness and puddles suggests it likely continued over both nights!
  12. TammasinWhiskers we had the absolute laundry dream down your way in August 2022. Rented a cottage in the middle of nowhere and every days wash was put out at 21.00 at dusk and was dry by the morning! *Stormforce~beka* hanging washing outside is my happy place! Bugger that you’re North facing, we are very lucky in that respect!
  13. *Stormforce~beka* I have had washing out every day this week. If it comes in drier at 16.00 than when putting it out at 07.30 then that’s a healthy win! 3 days it’s been totally dry. Today less sun is meaning some will not be completely dry but still a win!
  14. ‘Awaits cloud turning up by 09.00! ‘ Thankfully I was wrong about the above (can’t seem to quote myself lol) and there has been almost unbroken though sometimes hazy sunshine.
  15. Snow from next Saturday as shown on GFS would be great timing for the half term break in my area. Not so much for long standing outdoor work plans for myself though lol.
  16. Oh hang on! A change! Mostly clear sky and a beautiful half moon as well as pinky sunrise! Awaits cloud turning up by 09.00!
